Re: Broken Stuff that Needs Fixing ASAP

The rule is pretty simple, 30mm penetration is 1 AP. If you have a round piercing 300mm, it's 10 AP. The M60A1 has 11AP and that's using either the M392A2 or M728 which are around 225mm-250mm. M60A3 and M1 have 13 AP and they both use the M735 which is 300mm. XanderTuron wrote: The armour and AP on...

Re: Broken Stuff that Needs Fixing ASAP

Welp, looks like I was partially wrong, there was no rule for 1981-1985 guns: They obviously made a few exceptions to the rule with the Magach and Finnish T-55s. Israel did have the M-426/DM-63 but it's post-1991 (Leo 1A5 NO2 uses this round). For instance at 2000m: - the 1982 AMX 30B2 had the OFL ...

Re: West-Germany (or hoping without hope)

No you wouldn't, you'd have a reasonably good MiG-29 9.13S with 4x R-77 and 2x R-73 and you'd have a pair of pointless cluster bombers, the first a 9.12 with 4x RBK-500s and 2x R-60M, the second a 9.13 with 4x RBK-500 and 2x R-73. The F-16 didn't use the Sparrow until the late 80s when the ADF vari...

Re: West-Germany (or hoping without hope)

Not that I wouldn't like to see the T-64 series (and even the T-80s) get more properly modeled, but do you have the numbers so that we can better understand the comparison?

The T-64A had an steel/aluminium cast turret which BTVT estimated at around 410mm vs KE, the glacis is 335mm.

Re: West-Germany (or hoping without hope)

Keiler in no way deserves 13 FAV it was worse armored that T-64A, which is 11. I think it goes without saying the T-64A should also have 13-14 FAV but it's one of those units that never gets a mention nowadays. Why the hell should later types like Su-27PU be dropped if we have Eurofighter and Rafal...

Re: No C-300 ?

F-14 radar modes - Pulse-Doppler Search (PDS): This mode is for basic long range detection, and is the maximum range mode of the unit. The information is displayed on the Detailed Data Display (DDD) as raw radar data in azimuth, elevation and range-rate (rate of closure). This mode does not provide...

Re: No C-300 ?

Which aint apply to T-62 at all.

The autoloader patch killed Soviet tanks better than TOW-2 aimed right at the turret ring.

Re: No C-300 ?

I'd argue that its a fair bit more effective in RD now. Especially since autoloaders and generally acceptable tank accuracy made its appearance. I'd say the opposite given the fact T-72Bs have 50% accuracy across the board compared to 60/65% for nearly all Blufor tanks - Leo 2A0 and A1 had 35% in E...

PRP-4 with 1PN59 since 1984, PRP-4M with 1PN71 since 1988. T-80UM with Agava-2 was planned to be launched serial in 1990 at Omsk plant. Also on Tu-142M from whenever those were built (late 70s), IR linescan on recon jets, cameras and real-time imaging on Oko and Yantar satellites. The ability to se...
