Re: The function of AA?

Do not use AA primarily for ground targets. HMGs and support tab units are always better and more cost-effective. You don't want to lose your AAs to artillery right after opening fire at a squad of cheap infantry. In-game there're two types of CAS behaviors: strafing and payload-dumping. The strafin...

Re: 3rd Armored cheap infantry transport required

TOE-wise, like the paratroopers, the armored infantry were not issued with BARs. Two M1919A4's in the MG squad were the dis-mounted automatic firepower each Arm-rifles platoon had. Then they did have a 60mm bazooka for each squad, even for the MG and motar squads, which made it 5 for each platoon. I...

Re: Let's talk 17th PzGren division

What's the source material that says "stosstrupps" existed in the 17.SS, or is just a fictional gameplay unit for the sake of flavor? Apparently they originally designed "stosstrupps" for the 352nd. 17ss just borrowed the unit for some infantry variety. Well, they could have don...

Re: Pak40 vs M5 76mm & 17 Pd

I'd second that a 1200m range is much needed. 1000m is straightup out-ranged by the Wolverines, and only put up a 200m standoff range against the .50cals, which can be easily covered by fast-moving on roads. Two .50 cals can pin and vaporize an AT in matter of seconds.

Re: Let's talk 17th PzGren division

The French wolverines are better in every stats than the Stug 3 yet being 25pts cheaper and come in two cards in phase A . Even the 2-star upvet can hardly save it. The stug 3 gets the uphand of faster aiming, but the French gets the range, accuracy, speed, turrets (thou slow turning) and a second c...

Re: Let's talk 17th PzGren division

I'd agree with the op on most points. Both the 17ss and the luftlande lacks offensiveness. The 17ss is even less mechanized than the 15th scottish and 2ID, quite ironic that it got a half-track icon in the title but if i remember correct the only half-track in the entire deck is the 173mm FO vehicle...

Just saying, RR/ATGM Jeeps in VHC tab are still on poor stealth.

Re: mrls should get zero cooldown when used to deploy smoke

Agreed, the 20 rds salvo right now is neither ideal for HE nor smoke. Switching back for 40 rds per salvo would be better for both purpose.

Currently the way I improvise is to use a mortar or 2 to quickly fill the gaps.
