Re: Can you join China's airborne soldiers?

Sadly, the suggestion for the PLAAF 15th Airborne Corp's inclusion into RD was shot down right at the beginning, even before the beta. Instead, Zhanshis are got helicopter transport options, making them Ersatz Paratroopers. It turns out that they really arent any effective in practice, and a waste o...

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

ZTZ-88 were actually introduced. About 500 of them, serving in some armored divisions. The ZTZ-88 was suppossed to be China's backbone tank for quite a while, before the PLA realized that they needed something better in the late 80s to stand against the USSR's T-72. Most of the ZTZ-85 line isnt used...

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

Same video has been posted before several times. Here are youtube links: ZTZ-80: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8IQ8sGFNVE ZTZ-88: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrL20tO_7S8) Both show their good working gun-stabilization at work. In fact, one of the good things of the more advanced Chin...

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

I'd rather have a general availability buff for the WZ-551. Mot. Decks still have some problems.

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

- Chinese HQ-61 service date changed from 1986 to 1988 (to model the HQ-61A missile variant, but name hasn't been changed yet).
- Chinese HQ-61 accuracy increased from 40% to 60%.

Thanks, Eugen.

Z-9A TY-90 available to Motorized deck

And this as well.

Best changes for this nation, so far.

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

Of course they put the new chinese plane in marine decks only - baffling Yeah, that sucks hard. Also the decision to delete the PGZ-95 from the mechanized/armored decks... If a tracked SPAAG isnt attached the mechanized and armored units, where the hell would it be? In the PLA, SPAAGs are firmly at...

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

Though I must applaud Eugen to include the AGM armed JH-7 and making the Luzhandui '90 actually useful for its price-tag for once. They are good addition and changes. :D Now, if the Zhanshi '85 is getting a fair price, or gets buffed to match its current overpriced status, I'd be completely satisfied.

Re: The Dragons - Changes and Additions

Unit proposal, since Eugen don't want to add in anymore post 1991 units, we'll have to think of some others until they change there mind. WZ 523 SPC. Fast wheeled APC, armed with a 12.7mm machine gun, fills a middle gap between the ZSL-56 and WZ-551 IFV. What do you think? http://www.military-today...

Re: Chinese Units in Wargame Red Dragon

In regards to AA, the non-OOTF HQ-7, PGZ-88, MANPADS and a really really cheap HQ-61 would have been enough. The PGZ-95, while very nice to have, was unneeded, as China had enough anti-helo means, without getting into the OOTF area. I'd rather have the 45 points but still horrible HQ-61 back, along ...
