I may also add that Belgium has a very nice proto: the Leopard 1A6(BE). Not a "real" A6 with 120mm cannon, but still a good tank with updated ammo and additional armour:

Only one was produced and with the failure of the Soviets, it never entered troop service. ...which would have made it a good RD unit.

:o
Its a Beauty! I really hope nations like Belgium, Netherlands and Italy make it into a sequel if Eugen decides to bring out another Wargame.

The sequel will likely be Middle East or the other option when choosing ALB (southern countries), but yeah, it would be cool.

I found some more info on that fine tank.

Belgium originally bought Leopard 1A1s, which they upgraded over time. As the op's list correctly displays, one was mid-70ies, but the other was later according to my info. And actually only very few were upgraded from 1992 on. The chosen tanks were then called Leopard 1A5 (BE) because the upgrades were similar to that of the German Leopard 1A5, mostly with new FCS (homemade, not German), new periscopes, but also other stuff like Leopard 2 track skirts, new radio antennas etc.
The differences to the German A5 are obvious, especially the huge sights on top:

Since the armour was still largely that of the A1, additional armour was planned but discarded. This version would have become the beauty we call Leopard 1A6 (BE):

Yeah, the Leopard 1(BE) AVLS, basicly Leopard 1(BE) mounted with a very modern (for the time) gun stabilisation system and "Automatic Firing Direction System" (whatever that means  ). Those systems were also homemade and not part of German upgrades as they were produced by the SABCA, a Belgian aerospace company.
