Yean, and Puma. We went with the cheaper option.

We do that a lot in the strangest places. See: M109A7, all new except for the gun. You know, the point of an artillery piece.

In all fairness, the Paladin looks super, super uncomfortable...

M109A7 had the Paladin's turret. M109A6 was a neat interim upgrade until we decided to cancel Crusader.

Now we have a low rate of fire and a 39 caliber tube on a vehicle that can put out enough electricity to power three barracks' worth of xboxes at once.

I can stand up fairly straight in it. You want to see me uncomfortable? Sit me in the turret of a Brad as the gunner. That was a painful experience, but made up for it when I qualified Table 8.

That being said, I've been inside the PZH 2000 before. During the Land Combat Expo in Heidelberg, Germany, I got to go and play on a lot of equipment.

So, yeah, it's... a massive improvement over the Paladin. :\

They went all electric for the turret so they modified the new engine (same as on the brad now along with the suspension) to serve as a very high output generator.

M109A7 is a good upgrade, but it's halfassed. There are good loading/gun upgrades for it on the market for not too much, and it wouldn't be insanely inferior to guns that have been around for 30 years anymore.

Ha, interesting. I probably shouldn't tune out the gun bunnies so much, I might have known what you were talking about then. Then again, they are a light unit, so I dunno.

I never got a riot shield to carry while I was mounted up. :(

The halo line was pretty good.
