Puella Magi Madoka Magica (actually about anime in general)

Postby chema1994 » Thu 7 Nov 2013 14:21

Finally, after lots of recommendations and initially some "that's not for me, I'm not gonna like it" I watched the first season and wow that was a great one. That was a great anime with lots of tragedy and the best ending I have ever watched.
I just wanted to say it, and thank the ppl of this forum for recommend it to me.
PS. I'm still shocked because of the ending.

You mean the only season?
I read a lecture about deconstruction using Madoca and Evangelion as examples on our Interuniversity Conference. It was fun. Damn this anime is good. Damn it's OST good too.

I'm looking forward to watch this.
I also heard about Evangelion (and it's similarities), so it will be the next one. ;)

Gantz is 7/10, nothing special. Elfenlied is mindbreak when you are 14.
I recommend Patlabor OVAs.

That was great, not simply good.

Gantz is just an action porn fest, you clearly don't watch/read it for the plot, the anime was okay until the final arc that was just a stupid filler. The manga recently ended and the final arc was OMGWTFBBQFTSCNDTROKUNDT. Makes no sense but still full of jubilatory action.

But yeah if you want some stuff to watch, I highly recommend Fate/Zero (same writer, Gen Uroboshi, as PMMM), From the New World, Eureka Seven, The Soul Taker (same director, Shinbou Akiyuki, as PMMM), Mardock Scramble movies (the last one just released), Shingeki no Kyojin (thought I doubt you haven't heard of it yet...), Legend of the Galactic Heroes (70' stuff but very awesome, the only anime you can dare to call a Space Opera) and many other stuff I don't remember yet besides the good classics.

Speaking of Manga, I'd like an Anime of BLAME!

And probably a video game. yeah, it would be the ultimate "science fiction dungeon crawler."
