It's an engine with a pilot and airfoils bolted to it, kind of like the F-104.
My mouth is moving, but nothing relevant is coming out. Also I cannot guarantee that my research is perfect or even remotely accurate.

Thank you.
May I ask another question?
Is this why the mig 21bis faster than the mig 29 in game?

MiG-29 having 900 speed is rather arbitrarily assigned. Finnish 29 has 1000 air speed, for example, every other 29 has 900.
The SEAD never bothered me anyway.

Both MiG-29 and Su-27 should have 1000km/h. ESPECIALLY when things like Rafale and F/A-18 have 1000km/h.

Same goes for the Su-27; most are 900 except for the top end ones. If I recall correctly Eugen's reasoning had something to do with the range of the aircraft, though I could be mistaken. There are other aircraft with fairly arbitrary speeds as well, F-104s should warrant 900 or 1000 (with even worse turning probably).

Maybe for some future title, ingame speed could be done by cruise speed.

There aren't many "supercruisers" ingame, so that seems like a fair way to go about it.

And therefore the Novi Avion?

I don't think so. But I'm sure HrcAk47 will tell you! ;)

I am not convinced Rafale can go supersonic without afterburners. Especially with 10 hardpoints used + an imaginary fueltank. Likely the Eurofighter can't supercruise with the current loadout either, but it is still pretty fast. Maybe the fastest on Blufor.

And I am pretty certain NA wasn't designed with supercruising in mind. ;)

Only actual "curve breakers" would be the MiG-25 (PD) and MiG-31s. Those things... are fast.

At any rate, cruise speed as a parameter of ingame speed seems to be what Eugen used. It works quite well IMO, just needs a bit of polish.
