Spoiler : Backstory :
In March 1990 the Soviet Union is unsettled by the elections in the DDR as parties supporting reunification grew larger in power. The Soviet Union's leadership largely infuriated walked out of negotiations concerning the German Unification causing tensions to grow between east and west.

East Germany in an act of defiance to leadership in Moscow continued negotiations with West Germany throughout early April. Gorbachev threatened the East German government causing the political tone in East Germany to intensify. The DDR continued official negotiations with the FRG despite Moscow's threats and Communist hard-liners internal influence.

On April 21st, 1990 communist hard-liners rioted in the streets and the East German military began to fracture between East and West sympathies leading to a military coup. The military coup found Soviet backed support within three weeks as Soviet forces in the area began to suppress East German loyalists.

On May 7th the fighting intensified within East Germany and negotiations officially broke down between the two Germanies. NATO forces were mobilized and strengthened in the region in case of spillover with NATO threatening retaliation if fighting spilled over into West Germany.

On May 19th fighting alongside the border intensified as a Soviet Armored Battalion mistakenly fought through the West German Border Guard at Helmstedt–Marienborn border crossing due to an officer's tragic mistake. The German forces quickly routed the Soviet Forces back across the border and pursued in force before withdrawing back to West German territory.

Both sides claimed the other was the aggressor, but with the border between East and West quickly firing up in all sectors war was officially declared by both sides on May 30th as NATO reacted in force to push back forces provoking the borders.

Fractured East German loyalists still fight against the Soviet Union and alongside her to restore communists to power while NATO is engaged throughout the West and East German border as the rest of the Warsaw Pact reluctantly, under Soviet pressure, joins the fray.

Welcome to With Respect to Germany: 1990.

This is a WIP mod which intends to greatly alter and engage the player in a more fun experience centered around equipment in the late 80's and 90's (more Abrams and T80U's, but trying to still make room for M60A3's and other aging tanks in service still). Currently I have semi-completed changes to the British, both Germanies, the US, and USSR. Price buffs will be necessary for old ATGM tanks after they've been tested in combat. There is still much to do to balance that, but for now our massive changelog;

Spoiler : Changelog of Really Lame Buffs :
Massive changes to tanks in the US, E. Ger, W. Ger, and USSR forces. Including the removal of PACT Tank ATGM's and buffs to PACT tank stabilizers and guns as well as side and rear armor nerfs to most tanks. (Flanking shots are now more powerful)

Current List of Minor Nitpicks;
Anti-Helo:
Rapier 2625m>2925m
Roland 2 2450m>2925m
OSA AKM ????>3150m
Strela 10M 2450m>2625m
Avenger 2225m>2625m
Chap&Tung 3150m>3325m
Chap +4 Ammo
Chap price nerfed to 50 for now.
Chap accuracy buffed; (will likely nerf back later because +4 ammo is probably plenty a buff, but let's see first)

ATGM Changes:
AP:

TOW 16>11
I-TOW 22>16
TOW-2 25>23
Milan F1 16>9
Milan F2 24>18
Swingfire 20>18
SS-11 TCA 16>15
HOT-1 22>15
Dragon II 12>8
Shillelagh 16>9

Konkurs 19>15
Konkurs-M 25>20
Malytka-P 13>12
Fagot 11>12
Faktoriya 14>15
(Just as a note, most of these nerfs do not make them worse against heavies, in fact the Konkurs is more accurate so is better against heavies than it used to be, but they are all now worse against mediums.)
Gave US F-16A 12x227kg HE
Gave US M2A1 Tow-2

National XP bonuses apply to a select group of categories by nation and are strongly influenced by their real-life doctrines, specialties, or expertise. These apply a 1 XP buff and effect the above Availability changes, and give greater strength to their power.

This generally results in higher vet units and more availability of those higher vet units to combat the enemy by exploiting your strengths, but beware they'll try and do the same to you. Each nation will have 3 unique buffs that could shape the difference in defeat and victory between your decks.

AA ranges are based on irl values, gameplay balance or just to prevent raping by helis?

Realistic relationships and game balance. If they had the ability in real-life they should get it. Helicopters won't be nerfed to oblivion, the Havoc was actually dropped to 110 points for example, but they should be outmatched by AA. At the end of the modday monday I want AA to cover the force and not have to be micro-ed intensively to combat helicopters. Sadly there isn't much I can buff on the East German side without overbuffing the Strela.

Ultimately some form of testing by myself to see the results of stealth and maneuver changes to helicopters to represent their necessity to be noticed by optical trackers/optics rather than radar and the maneuver changes to make them more responsive and fun to use.

Also perhaps a way to make helicopters fly lower so LOS blockers work to their advantage without tanks starting to shoot at them and AA unable to like when they land.

My focus for now is;

US; plane loadouts, tank prices & armor etc,
UK; perhaps one SEAD loadout for the Sea Harrier.
FRG; they're probably for the most part "finished"; Leopard 1 price rework
DDR; looking at their tanks and AA situation; I will consult Spetz E. Germany thread for more ideas to buff them to 1990's glory.
USSR; the ATGM removal means more serious gunplay for USSR tanks and better pricing to reflect their new found loadouts.

Then inevitably add France and Poland next;

Also see this thread about the national XP buffs; viewtopic.php?f=91&t=35354

I need 3 better ideas for France primarily, but you can suggest other ideas for anything that isn't the British Impersonators, British, Germans, or Russians; I accept I don't know everything about the cold war doctrines of each nation.

Is there any way that I could convince you to post those doctrine photos without the words on them? They are awesome.

Then to be fair buff strela 1m range (8km max range irl) zsu-57-2 range (12km horizontal 8km vertical max range irl).
