Red Dragon not launching

After downloading NOD32 and scanning my PC, Red Dragon suddenly stopped launching at all.

When I try to start the game my Steam status shows me playing RD for around 2-3 seconds and then returns to 'Online', despite the fact that the game's not started at all. I've already tried verifying game cache and reinstalling the game, with no effect. I've also tried to launch the game via WarGame3.exe (steam/SteamApps/common/Wargame Red Dragon/Data/PC/430000210).
It didn't work either, an error about XINPUT9_1_0.dll being missing popped up instead. I've also tried to put this file in the game's directory but the game refused to start anyways. I am running out of options here, help is welcome!

If Red dragon worked before that, the problem come from your anti-virus.
Can you try to disable it and try to launche the game.
Or try to uninstall NOD32, reboot your PC, and try to launch red dragon.

Already deleted NOD32. No effect, unfortunately. Is there a way to reinstall DirectX, though? I think NOD32 might have screwed it up because I've started to experience similar problems in other games, such as GTA San Andreas.

You can try to verify your game cache.

Did it all. No good. Is reinstalling Windows the only solution, now?

XINPUT9_1_0.dll is used by DirectX. Looks like NOD32 has removed it .. you said, you scanned your PC - what did nod32 report? Has it "cleaned" anything or reported suspicious items?

If I understood you correctly, you already have tried to uninstall and reinstall DirectX (only use the official Microsoft site to download it)? You may want to have a look here: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-uninstall-directx-and-reinstall-to-repair-directx/

Yes, nod32 deleted quite a few suspicious files. I have already reinstalled directx, but it is not working.

You don't have the logfile by chance?

Just to verify can you move to C:\Windows\System32 and look if there is a file called XIinput9_1_0.dll
I'm currently running short on time. Hence, it takes some time until I respond. In urgent cases, consider contacting another mod.

I don't have the logfile, since NOD32 has been deleted already. Yes, I have the file there.
