Being able to mod sounds would be really good. I don't have time to do so myself, but I've become aware of some of the sound effects that are wrong or annoying and would love to change them.

Examples are: the "hiss" when smoke screens are laid is totally wrong (smoke screens don't work like that); and mortar fire should be a more hollow sounding doof-doof with a bit of a ring on each firing. I've always liked the deep boom of the tank guns firing, I find that way cool.

I hope someone is interested enough to keep at this issue and we will eventually be able to "upgrade" selected sound effects.

We can't exactly encode files perfectly yet - the imported sound cuts off at a specific time.
