Tutorial compilation

Postby Darkmil » Sun 14 Sep 2014 22:29

Hello Everybody !
I always thought I needed to make a compilation of tutorial. But for now I don't have much time so I'll do it slowly and gently.

Big tutorials (Covering multiple aspect of moding at once :

Little tutorials (by no mean worst ;) ) :
Note, ² indicates tutorials originally written for Wargame: AirLand Battle - some of them are updated though. I haven't sorted them yet, so you should check if they're still relevant.

If you can gently link me the tutorial you know, it will be greatly appreciated !
I'll try to make a better presentation as soon as possible (If a moderator could sticky it, or if you are here Shifu you can add it in your thread)

Not sure if anybody else uses this since all tuts mention the method requiring base range, but..

A quick way to get any range value you want (using the calculator provided by windows for copy/paste):

(desired range / 175) * 13000

E.g
(5000 / 175) * 13000 = 371428.5714285714

Once entered into the range box in the mod tools, the value will be rounded to the nearest single decimal, so in this case 371428.6

Image

This works for values down to 1m, so weird ranges like 4378m can be used as well

What? Well I could have known that...

Darkmil, great job on the tutorials. I especially love the title pictures.

Sticky

Your efforts are appreciated.

Those are the tutorials I am aware of:
Note, ² indicates tutorials originally written for Wargame: AirLand Battle - some of them are updated though. I haven't sorted them yet, so you should check if they're still relevant.

I'll include them as code so you don't have to look up the links manually if you want to add some of them.

I'm currently running short on time. Hence, it takes some time until I respond. In urgent cases, consider contacting another mod.

I will add it in my tutorial as a tip if you allow me.
