I know also that the Canberra was in the Photo Reconnaissance role however, again in a WW3 scenario most likely would of been brought back in a tactical bomber role.

Obviously nothing could be done about the models but It would be nice to see to give the UK more variety in Low level strike, and high altitude bomber (much like the US - F111, NK - B5).

Cheers in advance. I'm sure you'll get a few more messages like this from me.

Honestly I don't think the RAF needs to be beefed up at all. It's really powerful now.

Any chance to "beef up" the British Air power, that It could get both the Buccaneer and Canberra. They were retired in 1994 and 2006 respectively however, there is no doubt in a WW3 scenario both would of been kept in service longer. I know also that the Canberra was in the Photo Reconnaissance role however, again in a WW3 scenario most likely would of been brought back in a tactical bomber role.

I think a WW3 scenario is more likely to finally convince the UK it needed new tactical bombers, rather than hanging on to old ones...

But, there just aren't many real world examples of tactical bombers any more. Without a cold war to prepare for, the west seems to have decided cruise missiles are better.

The Su-34 is about the only recently developed tactical bomber there is. If you include recent fighter/bombers you can add the Chinese JH-7, the Harrier II's and the F-117. The Last two of which are getting replaced in their roles by F-35's.

I could see the F-111K as an alternative in A&S; the model is already in the game. But its still an old design.
Currently, the Tornado with 8x Mk 10's already has the kind of in game performance and payload I'd be giving to a Buccaneer, and the Canberra's payload actually looks smaller.

Well, be my guest.
I'm calling the v.2 mod a beta at this point. Most unit changes are complete, mainly balance adjustments to follow.

CIWS diagrams looks like it's going to be good, but is unfinished at the time of this review.

I've finished two. They're quite slow to put together. Larger ships are going to have quite confusing diagrams...

The Canberras still in service by the 90's wère specialist units, like EW aircraft or target tugs. Not the kind of thing that you'd strap bombs on.

V 2.15 up.
Minor fixes to flags, the [stat] setting on the M8 and AMX-10 guns, and some tweaks to a couple of CIWS guns.

hey Spectre_nz I'm only trying out 2.14 right now and I already notice some changes in bot behavior, are you sure you didn't change anything on that?

do you plan on bringing back the polish mig-21-97? and the czech mi-42?

questions not necessarily related to just A&S:
What exactly is the role for the M72B CEV? I can't really find a situation suitable for its short range and big size.
Is there a way for fighters with those [TOP] missiles and [F&F] bombs to be able to switch to another target after each shot?
Is there a way to chain commands for artillery/mortar units and make them aim at a new spot after each shot? (like trying to create a long wall of smoke with mortar/artillery)

quite a few of those I sorted in 2.15. You've got a few I missed, I'll get those out in 2.17.
Also, 2.16 is going up in a few minutes

Oh... either those are things I sorted in 2.15, or you're talking about filter settings. I'm not fixing filter settings at the moment.

Poland has the Mig-23-98 instead. The Czechs have the Mi-40, which is filling a nearly identical role. And has thermobaric missiles.

The CEV's were OP back in early ALB days as they were indirect and longer range. They were useful for stunning tanks outside of tank gun range, and clearing infantry out of towns.
These days they're still ok-ish at clearing infantry out of towns so long as you're not within ATGM range. They might be ok at clearing the edge of a tree line. They're certainly not as useful as they used to be.

Chaining mortar commands... I think you have to hold shift then smoke position, click, stop, click, smoke position click, and so on. I've only seen it in videos. Give it a try. shift and repeated smoke positions might work.

ATGM planes in general won't multi-target automatically, but, you can bind weapon off to a key, have the unit selected and snap the weapon off after every shot, let it travel a bit and snap the weapon back on so it is more likely to aim at a new target. It's the fastest way I know how to do it.

V2.16 is up.

I bumped into a fatal crash with Israeli Rovait firing their LMG at an egyptian AH-64. I think. I'm not certain that was the exact cause of the crash.
There may well be a generic but rare crash with infantry firing on helos.

I've slightly altered the damage tables and disabled the Rovait LMG vs helo units.

If anyone has anything similar happen, please let me know the attacking unit and what it was targeting.

Also in the update:

I've added more drop off to top attack weapon damage. The damage table in the user guide for top attack weapons has been updated to reflect this.

There's been a general re-balance of ATGM infantry points costs and ATGM supply costs.

They Tyran Blazer got its armor values corrected down from being a super tank to a regular T-55

The US v150 20mm had an erroneous MK-30 cannon swapped out for an M621 cannon.

Recon LAV's with bushmasters got a price nerf for ANZAC and the US

Cardom mortar carrier added for Denmark
Caesar arty added for Denmark

Recon infantry got an availability buff across the board.

A few more unit icon/helper texts got corrected.

French Commando 85's were re-named Eryx Hon Hon. Pending a better name.

The Israeli tank tab got some availability buffs and the UH-60 Yanshuf was added to a few more units as a transport.
