Sounds interesting to me, I'll definitely bring it up next time I talk with Faust.

BTW, since you have now reduced the Strv 122 to 1 card, do you consider improving its frontal armor? According to this:

http://www.fmv.se/Global/Bilder/Projekt ... rd%202.pdf
That is from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, which is an official agency.

Specifically pages 3-4.
Just to clarify, the Swedish tank trials were extremely rigorous and produced evaluations that were hundreds of pages long. Extensive fire tests against both the chassis and turret were conducted both in the bidding countries and in Sweden, and the latter was done both with the offered vehicles as well as when those vehicles were reinforced with a new ballistic armor insert developed by Åkers Krutbruk and IBD. It was found that protection was improved in some respects by as much as 50-100% on the M1A2 and (especially) the Leclerc with new ballistic armor inserts during the Swedish fire tests. This ballistic armor was applied to the Strv 122 as well.

The Strv 122 appears to be quite beastly as far as its protection is concerned, and I think it would be fair to represent that in the game with an improvement to its frontal armor compared to Leo 2A5. Reduce the Strv 121 to 1 card since its just a leased tank anyway. Considering the rather small number of heavier tanks they would have (1 card 23/23 SH and 1 card 23/19 H) it would not strike me as OP (especially given their rather small number of tank-removal options: no gunships, best fixed wing AP at 26, infantry ATGM at 2275 m).

Hey everyone, It's been a few days but we're back with another Dev Diary, this time for NORAD. NORAD is in quite a good spot right now, and we did not want to change it very drastically as to alter their playstyle but rather give it some minor tweaks to increase it's range of strategic options and make some unit choices more of a trade-off.

NORAD is an excellent team deck, being very powerful at supporting it's allies and at forest fighting, though lacking in the capacity of fighting or defending deep town sectors. Even after the nerf of TH-495, the Canrifle + TH combo remains strong, and their forest fighting capability is further augmented by the CS and CEV.

NORAD plays like how we imagine USSR should play, not necessarily the most cost efficient fodder units, but with strong fire support and armor to make up for the deficit. We mostly aim to keep to how NORAD already is, while making going town-side a more viable option for them when necessary.

Our changes reflect this, with some the major ones including reverting Delta Force to their role of infantry grinders, making Navy Seals a more attractive option and the addition of the M2 Bradley COMVAT.

Sidenote (Atacms must die): The M270 Atacms has been re-rolled into an LRM, while we didn't believe the unit was broken, it was incredibly unfun to play against; especially for newer players. The Atacms fell into a strange area of the skill gap, newer and more inexperienced players would lose hundreds of points of units to something that they felt helpless to counter, while good players were able to easily dodge and avoid every shot, making it useless in high level play.

I haven't picked up the mod, have you guys price-buffed or rerolled the Kiowa recon, or given the recon Cobra some sort of anti-helo capability (sub-question: what have you changed with AGLs?) ?

This sounds interesting. Maybe a MUH REALISM rebalance of the AT4 where resupplying it costs 99999999999999 supply units.

Now that I think about it, lowering the ammo of AT4s would be an interesting way of playing around with their IRL one-time-use with their (almost) top-tier combo of 19 AP and 20 rpm and decent range

The NK and DDR MiG-23MLs both remain the same as vanilla, entirely identical to each other to boot. Both retain the dismal veterancy as well. Is it likely you guys will find ways of buffing them?

Seeing as the Frontier States lack BUK-type systems and the Cat-A ASFs are themselves expensive and mediocre (or in the case of the NK MiG Helo-Killer, highly questionable) it seems that the AA capacity of Best States could do with some subtle tweaking, insofar as veterancy and cost-efficiency are concerned. Those are arguably their IRL and in-game flavour traits, after all.

We'll look into that, but for now we don't want to do any major changes until the tournament has concluded.
