absolutely yes!

i use oracle virtual box on my win 7 gaming pc, it really works well.
you just have to take care, to have a nice and relatively speedy internet connection (upload AND download speeds)

take a look at the server section in the ALB tech-support forum, where you will find lots of hints for using this VM.

I'm re installing now with the desktop environment but would prefer to just run what is needed since this will be internet facing.

same for you, take a look into ALB server-section.
all you need is in there...

I think I'm up and running. My last question is. Is there away to allow AI's into a match with a dedicated server?

Any chance I can run a dedi for Wargame. I know it says Linux and Wheezy...........maybe Windows in the future?

Are there any rules as far as servers go?

I tried joining a server called "red flag" on asgard several times.

Both times a guy called naizarak randomized the decks entirely right before the game started, with blufor decks on redfor side and vice versa (all decks on both sides) and anyone who tried to switch back to their own deck was auto booted.

Now, I don't have a problem with people moderating their own servers, but could we at least get a rule for a general description in the server name or some other way to display information?

Is there a maybe the possibility to have "messages of the day" of the server? Like, every guy who joins the server gets a message, or the "hosts" automatically writes a message (or something like that).

Because I would like to explain to joining users for example, that I will only observe the game and therefor instantly surrender after starting. Would be nice, if I would have a better alternative than a short game name.

Hey guys hope someone can help us out. We are trying to host a couple of games on a cloud server running Debian 7. For some reason the gent that is trying to do it for us is having trouble getting it working correctly. I myself have only run a web hosting server and have little command line experience.

If there is someone out there willing to help us get it running please let me know we would be greatly in your debt. Feel free to message me here or send an e-mail to kster@greenagora.com. Would be more than happy to offer free webhosting to anyone helping us out. You would be welcome to host a game yourself on our server as well.

Thanks in advance!
