Whether something is a helorush or not will be decided by Faust and me. Making a clear definition for that is not up to discussion.

So players need to guess whether you'll consider a particular play a "tactical outplay" or not? No offense, but that is some weak sauce.

Tactical outplay = helorushing, nothing else.

I know the meme (and your unfortunate place in its origin, my sympathies), I meant that you haven't defined what tactics are forbidden beyond vague "no helorushing". So a player can't predict how many helos are too many, or how early is too soon; it's entirely arbitrarily decided after the fact.

I don't disagree that helorushing should be banned, it's a BS tactic that makes for dull games on either side. Just that you should give the participants some guideline for what is acceptable and what isn't.

You know a heli rush when you see one. If you buy many helicopters with the sole purpose of attacking into the enemy starting spawn to kill of their CV quickly to cheese the game, is what I'd call a heli rush.

I think pretty much every participant knows what a helicopter rush look like (and key attributes are obviously stuff like going for main spawn etc. etc.).
I also think pretty much everyone knows that if you do a helicopter drop worth of 40% of your starting points to get into a forward key position is not a helicopter rush.
And if someone masses up helicopters in the mid game, then it is obviously not a "rush" anymore.

We are not giving any exact rules for a good reason: Someone will always find a loophole or will say something like "It was not clearly defined" etc. etc. This is why we keep it vague on purpose.

Yes, in the end it is completely up to us whether we "doom" something as a helicopter rush or not, but I am 100% certain that if there is a helo rush reported, we will be able to make a good judgement. Especially with out 1vs1 ranked experiences.

Razz! Hit me up if you do a 2vs2 please? I fear my 1vs1 ability is sub-par but crave competition
