Deck Feature a la Wargame.

Postby Kangamangus » Thu 6 Oct 2016 10:06

One thing I love about Wargame is the ability to tweak decks, and build forces with specific themes. I would like the ability to have different units, say if I wanted the U.S. Army to truly be the U.S. Army, and replace Marines with Rangers, or cheaper Infantrymen. Maybe have a Marine deck that would add amphibious transports and Harriers. Probably too late for AoA, but in a sequel, that would be neat.

Maybe there could be a few "cards" not very traditional for a base builder. With card selection having too take place before a match start. Maybe Like a choice in unit slots F35 vs Drone, or swapping a few upgrades / buildings. Would be more like Zero Hour where you have base faction than 3 more 'new' faction with variations between them except it would be the Base faction and a few variations the player can form.

Keep on dreaming.

Nobody want a ZERO HOUR Game.

There are 3 factions and if you play USA you play USA and not 1000 different USA Fractions.

Zero Hour was a bad game.

I like the idea too.

What we can just see is that the developer/publisher left the game, maybe because they have earned enough money with that and the playerbase is low because we all are sick of playing same maps and factions each day.

So if there were for example an "israel pack" like in wargame, the devs would earn more money and on the other hand more player would stay in game or come back.

Same happens to 8-bit armies. First the released hordes (2 more factions) and in Dez 2016 they will release invaders (2 more factions).
Both for about 4$ each game.

The problem of 8 bit armies is, that it has no depth (like AoA). So player will come back, stay in game for 2 weeks and leave it after that again.
