Format:
The tournament is a group stage knock out, there are 4 pools of 3 team, with 2 teams from each pool progressing. Each team will play two games in the group stage. The final stage will be an 8 game knock out (Single elimination). All games other than the final will be best of 3, with the final a best of 5.

In the case of a tie in the group stages, the team with the most matches won will progress, in a case where everything is tie, we will use points scored (in game counter).

Tournament brackets, team details, player stats and much more can be found here:
http://aoa.as2gaming.com/

All games will be cast and streamed, then uploaded to YouTube the next day. All replays will be made available on
http://www.aoareplays.com

The prize money will be $74 paid vie PayPal, either to the team captain or split to each player.

Rules:
1: Maps,:
Lost Runway
Forbidden City
Rock and hard place
Fourth point of Contact

2: Disconnects, If a player disconnects then his team mate will be allowed to play on or to GG, the other team then has the option to either take the win or allow for a rematch.
However! Game de-syncs or game crashes will be automatic rematches. As we know the game is not completely stable yet.

3: Faction selection: All faction selections will need to be provided to myself a minimum of 10 minutes before the game. There will be no changing factions once in the game lobby.

4: No Shows: I have released times to the captains first for them to confirm if they can play or not. So once times are set if there is a no show it will count as a lose for the team who never pitched up.

Looking forward to watching this. I hope Eugene/Home Interactive put a little marketing on their twitter/facebook since you are promoting their game for free by doing this.

Actually, it would be their best interest to advertise the tournament and let people know that there's a show coming. Every person who doesn't know anything about the existance of this game, but watches Twitch could become a potential buyer (if the game is to their liking).
I know because NVIDIA is pushing the game very hard in Germany and on Twitch.

Add to that our intention to host a tournament with a much, much bigger prize pool, it would be nice to receive some support form the devs. Not asking for favoritism, just support, since we are supporting them, with prize money incentives out of pocket.
MadMat has been helpful, I am thankful for that.

We really need good coverage here.
If it is possible I would like to stream/cast WOLFSTRUDEL vs Freedom Claushers. If it is not possible simply because of conduct rules, please ask somebody from the community to do it. There's Netput or OpticalX to kindly ask :)
