The crush.

Will tanks be able to crush mg nests, trucks, earthworks, guns and infantry in game? Standard practice for tanks against anti tank guns and dug in infantry in close combat was throughout the war, across most combatants, to charge them down and crush them (or with the tracks bury them alive) so it would be interesting to see this mechanic in game (as a reward for good tank micro/penalty for poor deck building). The ability of tanks to destroy enemy towed guns and other equipment is a vital ability of the tank as it can casually destroy equipment abandoned by the enemy it has suppressed or scared off.

In most games the tanks just sit shooting the gun and mg at point blank range instead of using the tank's secret weapons: irresistible mass and surprisingly resilient tracks. It would be cool to see tanks be actually able to physically overrun their enemies.

I feel like this is the most important bit. It's fair enough for Eugen to say that they're not particularly keen on the ESRB rating that grinding "Romanians" into jam under my Sherman will bring but if crews of stuff are going to run away and be rallyable so they can come back to the gun or whatever it is, I want to be able to spike the guns or otherwise destroy them. Infantry could do the job, probably, but there's a certain UI cleanness to just right-clicking on an abandoned gun with a tank and having it cease to exist. Let engineering teams do it too, if there is such a thing (Churchill AVRE transport for 2 man demolition charge squad Eugen plz  ).

Using tanks as engineering tools would be fun. It would be great to see.

My first thoughts were "this sounds like forum fanfic material" when I read the title.

My grandpa used to tell me about how forward observers were sometimes buried by tanks if their individual pits if it happened to be discovered. The tank was rotating over the edge of the pit, crumbling it and bury alive the forward observer rather than simply crushing under the tracks. It rarely occur (at least from the stories of my both grandpas) to just crush infantrymen under the tracks.

However, tanks isolated by escorting infantry were not in the best position. They used a lot of methods such as Molotov cocktails, throwing grenades inside or destroyed tracks, magnetic mines, covering sights, sometimes with burning bale of straw. Tanks without infantry escort were easy pray for well trained infantry.

Another interesting feature would be the destruction of one track by smaller caliber guns. They used to aim there and make the tank go round which made it turn its side if didn't stopped in time or even its back if didn't stopped in time.

I think it's marginal really. What I'd like to see more is other mechanics that I think are more important for game play such as infantrymen riding on tanks, user of grenades or magnetic mine by infantrymen, use of smoke grenades etc.
