Let’s focus today on the first division to set foot on French ground on D-Day: the British (and Canadian) paratroopers from 6th Airborne Division.

Are the fifteen inch guns supposed to be from any particular ship? I know Warspite was in the area.

I shouldn't imagine so. How would they fit in with the Storches and Austers and Grasshoppers? It's a recon attacker if you arm it, capable of hunting behind enemy lines, killing or stunning soft-skins moving up and then running away using its fighter speed. Not much fun for the other guy, especially if it can drop 15" shells on things as it goes.
