Hope the game is more real, and hope it does not lose gameplay. In fact, between the two, not many fans.

Match the system mess, design confusion. You said in the development log: "learn the advanced experience of moba game." But you just made a mixture.

The distinctive division of the troops is obviously a variety of featured heroes in the moba game.

Then please carefully study the essence of moba game. In dota2, the matching order is to know what the map is and then select the hero.
And you let us first select the hero and then randomly match the map. I do not know what exactly is in the designer's mind.Let us choose a hero and let him go completely inappropriate map?
See how many people are matching now? How many people are customizing the room?

Why can not you design a fixed "standard" for matching systems as a standard?

Now the balance is completely no standard, so it led, like 1v1 players complain that the Germans are too weak, like playing 10v10 players complained that the Allies are too weak.

The game server is in your hands. To see how many online players,

Even a mod production team produced "Ultimate General: Civil War",The number of online people is more than your game.

Do it seriously.please.

To be honest its a thursday at noon in middle Europe. Who would be able to play. I cant, i am just on my lunchbreak. If you take into account that a good amount of people that came to SD either from the Wargame series or from Paradox (which is not really famous for releasing games that attract teenagers, rather than also have a solid base over the years) most buyers of Steel Division will be over 20. Ergo they have Jobs and therefore its not the best time for high User-count.

I play only in the evening and the weekend if I have time (Family needs time too), but there are always enough lobbies or 1v1 games if you are willing to switch red/blue to get matched fast.

It seems that money is the one and only reason for everything.
I think eugen would do more if they could. They seem quite busy, they are developers, where is our publishers?
Are there only evil publishers or those who dont have money or competence for proper public work with the people.

I will not turn out the comparison with DoW3 out of my bag, that thread is no 4 pages away.

That ruined thing sells like hot crazy.

So the only thing, that we can do is to give each other the fault for desaster or use the people, who are willing to play, to gather more.
Lets see what you are going to prefer. But as for me, surrendering is not what I am going to do. This game is hard enough. I learned now how not to surrender :D

The best thing I find right now, is to find someone, who presents the game in a TV interview, but not only the obvious features, but also make clear and how detailed it is compared to other games.
It should contain some more scientific and solid strategical knowledge, showing some special popular tactics and unfolding the divisions with the fitting gameplay, giving a concrete example, maybe 17. Division, I do this and that, then see on the map, we have a forest here and here, there is a main road, explain the meaning of that, and thus I choose a ... unit to protect those, and the people can see and watch the progress to a definite success.
Also include the plane gameplay, somebody should play the Fighters, and then the presenting player shows in detail the way he is getting behind the fighter and that it was historical the way to engage that targets and that AA units are not deadly, but they are showed as the useful shield as they are. It can be a planned and inscenated playover, but It should not differ from real gameplay.

Then there are community things like a fan page, videos and division guides and a Wiki, unit wiki, How to kill tanks and air units with each division, but this must be lived first from the players, it must not be a nasty unwillingly task and if you see the empty forums, that will never see the sunlight, so community support must happen as a result of more players first, to be justified and rewarding.

What I see right now, is difficult publishing work, that I would not like to do without getting paid, it must be serious work, and paradox or eugens must first have the neccessary resources for that, they shall not do it without getting paid properly, because otherwise the result of the advertising will most probably feel not good enough.
So a better backbone with money is the solution, but it must be given to either the people who want to play, or to the developers for some reason, because nobody is willing to do major extra efforts, you cannot work for nothing all of you.

So in one sentence: This game needs a drive work, a motor, an engine, that does not stop, because the people follow, as long as there is a propulsion that attracts the players, and as soon, as the propulsion stops, the people will stop playing.

This propulsion can also be a rewarding system inside the game. See like that:

With a proper win screen, you are SO MUCH MORE willing to play the game again and again, until you get everywhere 5 Stars.
So this are different thoughts about how to attract new players. Choose from. Only few people are without talent :D

So the peak yesterday was 824. This is the daily peak. At which time was this?

As obvious the daily peaks are highest at Sundays as expected. And I would make the assumtion that at weekends there are more players in the game during the day while on weekdays its in the evening.

As i cant play during work i cant make a simple statistics, but you could open the game at 8am CET (Paris) and note the amount of players, then at 2pm CET and at 8pm CET and write down this numbers for every day. I expect weekdays to have the peak at 8pm while saturdays and sundays at 2pm. Or at least 2pm is around the same as 8pm.

This discussion has no meaning, now the largest number of games with only 900 people. Last week, there are 1,000 people.
