On cheating ...

Postby [EUG]MadMat » Thu 1 Aug 2013 12:07

It has recently been brought to our attention that some people had found a way of cheating by fielding more units and more experienced than should be available.
The cheat is now known to us, the fix for it will be uploaded soon.

In the meantime, be aware that, now that we know how it is done, we can easily identify cheaters from replays, and that those we've already caught “red handed” have received a ban from multiplayer and their ELO score has been reseted. Other cases are under investigation, and will receive the same “sentence” if proven guilty.

Public naming and shaming is not needed, if they can not poision the multiplayer environment any longer.

Thank you Eugen for the brief action on this, even in the middle of DLC launch!

I just googled ab and cheats and found some forums where they talk about making trainers and so on
it seems like our beloved game is very hard to cheat cause of the all the bugfix patches
so I hope with this new way to deal with it, it will become nearly impossible to cheat in future :)
good work!

Cheaters can not be trusted again, they ruin the game on purpose.
