Hi guys,

sorry to hear that the steps didn't help.

Uploading a file on the forum was impossible, Focus repaired it so now I uploaded the file again, in english. (Sorry about the previous one being set for french)

Please note that you don't need to run the autosetting after replacing the option.ini file. What I'm doing by giving you this file is setting your video options to the lowest possible in order to enhance stability. Running the autosetting afterwards may change the settings and cancel effects we're looking for. Sorry for not being clear on that matter.

Please do, any report is greatly appreciated. The more reports we get the more chances we have to understand what's going on with your macs.

Nope, that's all we need/you can give us. Thanks !

Thanks, I couldn't find what GPU you have in your previous posts.

Those of you who were unable to download the option.ini file properly, it should be simpler now it's attached on the forum. Please try again if you ran the autosettings after replacing the file.

If you tried a skirmish right after changing the file, I guess there's no point trying again.

I had this problem with the Mac Mini on Monday, it's being worked on as I'm writing this.

We're currently trying to find more Macs in order to expand the range of the tests to try and find this damn bug. I'll keep you updated as soon as I have news.

If you have questions in the mean time don't hesitate.

Once again I'm sorry. Thank you for your patience.

Hello everyone

I, for my part, thought I'd join this fancy conversation with declaring the same problem... But! At mine it works sometimes. I never get stranded at the initial game start. More like when I want to join a single, or multiplayer game, or leave one. I tried replacing the new option.ini, didn't change anything. I have an, for this game outdated graphic card (ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro) but otherwise comparable specs.

If you need more information, feel free to reply.

Yours sincerely

Thenosh

-a i just finished typing up a detailed account of what i did and the forum and when i went to preview it wanted me to log in again, so all that got lost.

i'm not going to retype everything so heres the highlights, though i was systematic in testing the uploaded option.ini file you put up Davimotep, it simply does not change the end result. and heres part of why i think so:

the option.ini file uploaded doesn't really work, my native resolution is 1280x800 not 1600x900

it does not recognize it as a working last settings

i did get a crash report with these settings and anti-virus off:

PS in activity monitor one can take samples of an application in progress, i took a number of samples as i tried different things and i took a few samples when the program froze [sort of a manual crash report because i was frustrated not getting a proper crash report], if that would be helpful i'll email them.

Alright, I got some new reports for you guys.

Version: v.13.09.02.2100001472

Report summaries

162023: I deleted the WarGame2 folder and tried to load a skirmish. It froze on the loading screen.
171755: I deleted the WarGame2 folder and tried to run the autoset feature. It froze on the loading screen almost immediately.
172208: I replaced the Option.ini file and tried to load a skirmish. It froze on the loading screen.
172423: Using the new Option.ini file, I tried to run the autoset feature. It froze on the loading screen almost immediately.

------

I would like to add that between 171755 and 172208, I was able to get into a skirmish match with the new option.ini file in place. However, it still froze on the loading screen when I tried to return to the main menu after the battle was over. For some reason my computer didn't ask me to generate the report, so I tried to mirror the process with 172208 to see if I would get the same result. I guess it was just a fluke though, like that 1 out of 5 chance that I've always had for it to work. Oh well, I got to play as the Canadians for the first time and dominated a Polish AI with my Highlanders, lol.

*edit*
I cannot seem to find a way to attach these reports in a format that the website will accept, but I will send them via email regardless.

I have good news.

We can't yell victory yet but we may have found & fixed the issue. Since we can't test it we're operating in the dark and we're counting on your feedback. Please note that we may be wrong again...

The patch should go live in a few hours, we're doing things as quickly as we can to deploy it ASAP. Something comforting is that one of your dumps we read this morning provided new informations and kinda "confirmed" that the loading was broken where we fixed it yesterday evening.

Please tell me that the new patch hasn't just gone live in the last hour or so, because right now the game crashes every time - seems worse...
