Re: Revised Campaign Mod

MrRed - that was an excellent and well-researched listing. Much respect for that! Guggy - KGB borderguards were not really structured as regiments, but rather outposts (Zastava) and motorized support elements (basically reinforced BTR companies). Within the scope of W:RD it might be worth creating a...

Re: Revised Campaign Mod

Thank you for your great work! Would you mind making a brief listing of datafiles/variables that you've had to mod? There have been several information for this kind of information (i.e. how to change campaign BGs) in other threads... Much appreciated!!

Peace,

Re: My wishlist

You just don't know what your talking about, the US where shooting back at the irakis before the iraki shells even hit the ground, and that was in 1990-1991 , actually radar and sounding procedures for establishing where enemy Mortar or artillery where positioned dates all the way back to WWII. But...

Re: My wishlist

- Artillery Radar -> You see enemy artilleryshots and gets a warning. You have to remember that the counter-battery radars were not overly precise during the time window that the game covers. Practically speaking, the way that the artillery detection works right now (you see the approximate locatio...

Re: what i want to see in the next game

1. Ability to purchase and to place the fortifications (trenches, foxholes, bunkers, etc...) before the battle starts 2. Mines - both purchased and placed before the battle (just like fortifications) and remotely delivered during the battle by artillery, planes, and helicopters. Along with this we ...

Re: Soviet / Russian army in the Red Dragon

T-10 Heavy Tanks were stationned in the Far-East until the late 70s. http://wikiwiki.jp/wotanks/?plugin=attach&refer=IS-8&openfile=T-10.jpg A conflict with China in the 70s would surely have seen them used in action. And they look awesome. The T-10 can be added and tank IS-3 which, along wi...

Re: Suggestions for new soviet units and weapons.

While I am stickler for realistic depiction of weapons and tactics in wargames; I am also a realist and there is no denying that most of the requests in this forum (and frankly some of the recent choices by Eugen) are positioning this game in the opposite direction... That being the case, why not in...

Re: Warsaw Pact ideas

Internal troops of the Interior Ministry (MVD) / Внутренние войска Министерства внутренних дел (МВД) - Interior Ministry troops are armed with tanks, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, helicopters. As well as special forces. What'd the MVD have that the regular army wouldn't? B...

Re: Is there any way to regain lost units?

I'd originally asked because I was kicking ass with an Air Assault battlegroup. I was making great use out of my four Apaches. But then in one game the computer began doing kamikaze runs at my Apaches with hordes of expensive, high-end fighters. I'd destroy the fighters, but not before they killed ...
