Re: Maybe the USMC was right to go with the M103?

I wouldn't mind, but there should still some variety in accuracy, like 10 -15 accuracy difference from the most accurate to the least accurate in the same generation. but ofc the least accurate one will have other advantages like AP, range or speed. Soviet missiles having more range strikes me as p...

Re: Maybe the USMC was right to go with the M103?

One can not simply give the US bushmaster II. Yeah, as well as ASF Super Hornet. I also find myself wondering why TOW is inherently more accurate than Konkurs/Fagot/Faktoria. What if we have all ATGMs in a given guidance class the same accuracy? I think that would work out pretty well. Part of it i...

Re: Maybe the USMC was right to go with the M103?

yeah but a missile is not the easiest thing to spot however in game you can see all munitions launched at any distance.. I think at that range all missiles besides spike and nimrod would be to easy to dodge anyway. You'd have what feels like half an hour to react as it has twice the travel time and...

Re: Maybe the USMC was right to go with the M103?

Speed on most MCLOS systems has been poor and does not necessarily have to be buffed if the range on those systems was expanded further to their on average 3000m max range. I feel like a lot of the issues faced by atgm vehicles is the very small difference between atgm stand off range and tank gun ...

And for accuracy, I couldn't find the original site I visited, but here's ...

Re: Maybe the USMC was right to go with the M103?

In EE, even the most basic SACLOS had near perfect accuracy and it should have remained that way IMHO. It was actually even worse than what we have now, Malyutka was only 20-25%, Dragon had 15% @ 2275m and Milan was also really bad. In spite of this TOW-2 had 65% which was as high as it went, altho...
