Re: Next Wargame

Me personally, I'd like a potential new title to essentially be a "Steel Division : Red Dragon". Current RD unit catalogue and time period with Steel Division gameplay. This is the problem. It includes way too long period. Even within ALB proto time frame the system can't handle such thin...

Re: The flawed gun and ATGM modeling in RD

When I find time I try to mod just the M1A2 and T-72B to a more believable level to check things. I hope that any stat value can be given. If we can use only 5% increment I have to say we are doomed. Or have to use quite strange values to achieve things. For example allow 2450 m gun range with 25% b...

Re: The flawed gun and ATGM modeling in RD

The units in reverse have the same speed as in ahead. This is simply insane. I agree, Mostly because I don't know any vehicles faster in reverse than forward gears. My favorite the T-80 in RL 14 gears forward 1 gear back But the main problem this does not make possible to chance the opponent. The b...

Re: Next Wargame

If Eugen Systems created another Wargame, what era would you be most interested in? (A) World War I: 1914-1918 (B) World War II: 1939-1945 (C) Cold War: 1950- 1991 (D) Modern: 1991-2020 (E) Near Future: 2020-2050 (F) Futuristic: 2100- (G) Sci Fi Chose ONE! Only Cold War. Because in any other case t...

Re: The flawed gun and ATGM modeling in RD

OFF In fact the Tor-M1 also should not be in the game. Because the game simply can't model anti-ARM capability as well the multiple target channels. This is way also should not be in the game the Patriot. In fact maybe all long range SAM is way too OFF. Simply radar SHORAD should get their real rang...

Re: The flawed gun and ATGM modeling in RD

Like tracer rounds kinda mentioned it earlier. Your first shot will miss but you can correct for the miss. For instance if you shoot a couple mil to the left and up you can than adjust your aim and than get closer your second shot. Nope. This is how the average ppl. thinks. But if you miss about 0....

Re: The flawed gun and ATGM modeling in RD

* Perfect aiming
* 37 mil dispersion
* 10 shots. If you can't count 10 hit it means the rest simply missed even the 4x4 size target.

1800 meters.
Even at such distance cannot be seen 10/10 hit on a 4x4 meter target...

Re: The flawed gun and ATGM modeling in RD

Unlike Alb and EE where fights can end in a lot more back and forth. Exactly. In RD even in a long range gun engagement almost everything is instaide. It is also was quite a shocking experience that length of infantry combat is also totally different in ALB. In ALB even militia was useful. While in...
