Re: Warsaw Pact units you wish had made it to WG:RD:DLC1

While people had not yet realized how quickly guided munition would be spend in a war, the LSK officials nonetheless knew this was a small number. Therefore only a third of the combat ready formation of Su-22s were to be equipped with guided munitions. The Su-22s were purchased with a wide variety ...

Re: Red Dragons units you wish had made it in the game

A question for Flieger, do you know why Eugen slapped the 152mm Tokchon on an ATS-59 body? Not only is it incredibly terribad but I don't think I've ever seen an ATS-59 used in that role with the KPA. The 152mm should have been the M1974 seen here , maybe then it wouldn't have been so useless ...

Kh-23s for the MiG-23BNs and Kh-25MLs, Kh-25MPs Kh-25MRs, Kh-29Ls, Kh-29Ts and Kh-58Us can hardly be called 'hardly any'.

Re: The Dragons - Changes and Additions

On strange ATS-59 self propelled gun: It's possible, but this is the only image I could find http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/9676/y2ei.jpg The gun doesn't even look like a 152mm gun. /quote] That looks like a 76.2mm ZIS-3 to me. It's Ethiopian. The ATS-59 based gun is in fact this: http://farm3....

Re: about Red Dragon Coalition

so it fits in the proto timeline by the year it was seen so probably even fits the pre 1991 timeline Just like pretty much the whole other North Korean arsenal. Most of the stuff wasn't added probably due a lack of time or a lack of vision. But let's not go down this road again. This whole discussi...

Re: about Red Dragon Coalition

You may either keep on whining or actually come up with some constructive suggestions for changes to other AA units to keep the NK/Red Dragon ADN viable (in case we missed something), but the 9HE change is happening regardless. How many AA units does North Korea has in-game anyway? I don't think th...

Re: about Red Dragon Coalition

KPA blogger did show truck mounted S-125's and said they had full mobility. http://31.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mc9hldSv6Q1ru4rivo1_1280.png Even with that siad, I don't consider it any less unicorn than the mobile HAWK system. Along with the other two mobile SAMs; completely OOTF. ON NK ADN: Accordi...

Re: about Red Dragon Coalition

I would vote to have it renamed to MiG-21MF. The MiG-21Bis is OOTF and every bit of historical accuracy makes the North Korean deck a little bit better. North Korean MiG-21s still use the RS-2U along with the R-3S. The MiG-21MF could become a (cheap) carrier of both. Please tell me you aren't talki...

Re: about Red Dragon Coalition

The Kh-66 was very complex and troublesome to employ, but let's ignore that for the sake of gameplay. The amount of Kh-66s should be reduced to one or two though, freeing up another MiG-21 for a different loadout. Well yeah, it was a beam-riding radar-guided air-to-ground missile that required the ...
