Re: Increasing player base in WG4

Unlocks keep casuals playing. IE in a PvE mode you unlock crazy OP and fun stuff that's absent in PvP. (Abrams recon or Spetnaz with Vampyr and sniper rifles, stuff like that.) I'm basically proposing to split MP in two like Halo 5: Guardians, and have a great campaign that shows people how to play ...

Re: West-Germany (or hoping without hope)

I feel like much of the playerbase doesn't have a serious background in other strategy games beyond total war. Anything specific for why you feel that way? I for example have an extensive background in strategy games, though it is a possibility that I am an exception in this regard, especially when...

Re: West-Germany (or hoping without hope)

Make Jäger 5 points cheaper, as they were, and the problem is solved. 1 good unit for germany... Underpricing units for flavor is autistic. Every other rts game has units balanced by utility and price And yet for some reason, every time there's a thread advocating for hard price standardization of ...

Re: Increasing player base in WG4

-persistence for unlocking certain items (100 wins in auto match as USA and you unlock M60E3 for Rifles, but only in aforementioned PvE/custom games Screw unlocks. I'd be mad if Eugen went back to this. It would only be for unranked modes and servers could shut it off. It would get content into the...

Increasing player base in WG4

What can be done to increase the playerbase in WG4? My opinion: -higher production quality-sound on par with CoH, ability to observe what a unit sees in first person w/stylized hud -a meaty scripted campaign with proper voice acting that shows new players the ropes and is fast and fun -make custom s...

The US Didn't really have a parallel to the Soviet BTR series of wheeled vehicles. Re: "category" system removal + price range change

Categories are only there for roleplayers, don't see the point of messing with them. The price suggestion has been around for a while, more with the idea of doubling every price so that there's more space at the jäger level. I don't see the point, some coalitions should have better infantry than ot...

Re: Bringing the Frontline System to Wargame

You could give each CV a zone of control that expands and contracts depending on enemy proximity, with point value dependent on size. Basically sectors like we have now, but you pick where to put them and they can change size. Units in friendly sectors could get a morale bonus, encouraging C2. Secto...
