Re: How to use short range ATGM

Micro them. Turn the ATGM off until the tank is past you and attack from the side - by the time the tank traverses it's turret, the tank is too dead to shoot you. The thinner armour helps. If you have the tanks coming directly at you and you're trying to ATGM them from the front, you should be using...

Re: Uses of Supply ...

When sneaking around behind enemy lines, grab screenshots as soon as you see enemy units. Then you know exactly where they are... most people don't move spotted units, or even notice they've been spotted.

Re: Each country's specialities

Essentially REDFOR: Excellent at long range if well micro-managed, you can destroy the enemy before they get close BLUEFOR: Great at closer range REDFOR have hard-hitting but squishy (not great countermeasures) planes, while BLUEFOR tend to be a little more survivable but a little less useful. Some ...

Re: Uses of Supply ...

I find FOBs are useless too - the fact they are 100 points lost at the start of the game doesn't make up for the supply efficiency: I'd rather take an extra card of supply choppers and use them as a mini (and much more flexible) FOB. I generally find with my FOB that I either empty it within 15 minu...

Re: SEAD Advices? I don't think I operate them correctly

The biggest mistake people make is sending them on long range incursions into enemy territory: they will usually destroy the first enemy defences they meet, but will be hit on the way out either by air superiority fighters or other SAM units further back. SEAD jets are effective, but are useless onc...

Re: how to use rocket attack aircrafts?

Rocket aircraft are great for a few uses, but useless in many others. Use them against forests full of infantry and light vehicles, ideally - you only have to hit a couple of squads to be cost effective. If you find the enemy plays with heavier armour, you can use them as meat shields/SAM bait to pa...

Re: A waste of a perfectly good airframe...

This would be yet another perfect candidate for national decks getting slight unit buffs to bring them up on par with the coalition.

eg when part of a coalition deck, Canada only gets the bomber variant, but gains the fighter variant when national-only

Re: Buff Minors by Adding Cards - Why not?

Engine limitation. Unless Eugen have written a terrible engine, I wouldn't have said so. Any decent engine should be designed to allow this sort of config change to be made with minimal interference. Now whether it can be done with the current engine is a different question - it may be that Eugen h...

Re: yak-141 vs f-16c block-52

Who cares? ASF are for taking out bombers, don't waste them on enemy ASF.... that's what your SAM units are for, when you sensibly play your bombers on over-extended pockets of enemy units to wreck them in low risk sorties.

Re: Flame tanks got ninja-fixed.

Sure they can... it just won't be very good ;-)

If I had infantry firing AT riybds at me and only had AP ammunition, you can be damn sure I'd fire the AP ammunition at them anyway...
