Re: Support, the most loathed players?

Do support players get badly represented? ... Seems the most useless players types are drawn to it? Typical support player: They spend all initial points on artillery. No cvs, no recon, no infantry? Sometimes cheeky and not even get a FOB. Then at the start the Rain ammunition down on a popular sta...

Re: Eugen Stand to make a great deal of money by teaming up with Wargaming

Given Eugen's record of incorporating interesting and immersive campaigns into their single player I am surprised they never came out with a clan wars type of team competition based around a campaign during a finite season. This could have injected a dose of strategy into team based competition and...

Re: Idea: Navy DLC

Heyo Guys, While Eugen just released some national DLCs (even if it is a while ago), I got the idea that there could be a Naval DLC... ... but how about an Arleigh Burke in two versions, ASM and Land attack (maybe as Flight I and Flight IIa). Land attack would lack of fighting capability against sh...

Re: Eugen's decision to omit mortar squads will never make sense to me

I know this has been discussed but Ill never believe that eugen's reason(too OP, mortar infantry shouldnt be in a mechanized game) is valid given that they included RRs which are equally unweildy as 60-82mm mortars. By their logic infantry atgms shouldnt exist in the game because we have atgm jeeps...

Re: What worked and what didn't of Steel Division's innovations?

You can't choose any play style you like after picking your deck because picking a division IS making a choice about your personal playstyle. This is exactly how the game should be. Wargame gradually trended away from generalised decks which gave players lots of freedom to "personalise" b...

Re: What worked and what didn't of Steel Division's innovations?

What didn't work: ... [*]The phase system. I think it made battles too formulaic, but I doubt it had the same impact on sales as my first point. This is a big reason why I just can't get into this game. It's made deck build boring. I spent tens of hours in W:RD in the armory / deck-builder alone, t...

Re: In case you missed them..

It worked alright though...Realistically they're like the Meteor or Tempest though, in service but fully utilised doing an important job elsewhere while older and less flashy tech can do the work in Normandy. Not really. The 3" and 7" AA rockets (Unrotated Projectiles, or UP in British pa...

Re: coastal support, supplies and transports only? (Naval)

well, maybe the Strb 90 H could have its HPs reduced to 30 to make it less tanky. Actually, this would need to happen for just about all naval units. Landing craft, for instance, can take a frankly ridiculous amount of pounding, as can the NK / Chinese gunboats. I like the idea, but it would still ...

Re: Will you buy Steel Division?

I'll wait for the reviews before buying, but so far (with what little information has been released), I'm positively inclined. The thing about Wargame that has always appealed to me is the emphasis on abstract strategy and position over the traditional RTS focus on micromanagement, build-orders, and...

Re: 2K12 Kub and variants

Who cares about kinematics? It's on the issue of ECM that the S-125 has been consistently defeated, and it's here that digital upgrades provide the most value. As I see you have no idea what TT guidance means (3 pont) and what its effect on flight path and why is important the kinematics. ECM meant...
