Re: The worst configuration that can handle Wargame.

as a contrast the game plays beautifully on high end machines too =D i7-920 @ 3.4 GHz 12GB of RAM Windows 7 64-bit 2x GTX460 SLI (5910x1080 nvidia surround) the super-wide view in-game is a huge bonus and i'm super glad the game engine supports the nvidia surround extra-wide span. I can see the enti...

Re: Game of Tank Rushes and Spamming

I have a replay where i stopped a 44-tank and 34-helicopter rush dead cold with 4 artillery pieces and scattered STROP2 AA units supported by BMP-3 and infantry and a pair of tanks (T-80 i believe). This was a high point 4v4 game and 3 players on the other team spent all their points on choppers and...

Re: PACT vs NATO?

i actually have a really great replay of the ATGM getting countered, a teammate had sent a pair of command jeeps up a highway with a bunch of enemy APCs in ambush and by the time i alerted him they were already in ATGM range, lucky for the jeeps i was already zeroing in artillery and the first salvo...

Re: Challengers

t-62 (vanilla) are terrible against the heavy tanks, i don't see any advanced T72 or T-80s in that list so i can only assume your opponent didn't field any of his own challenger class WP tanks and or was very light/med tank heavy and your challenger just sniped them all with it's massive cannon. lik...

Re: A Truly Unstoppable Strat, Let me explain...

depends on how balanced a force you field, i think my standard starting force (Which is very light on tanks and heavy on multipurpose units) would suffer a lot of damage, but you'd pay for it in choppers certainly. i think the root issue could be addressed by limiting how many points you can spend P...

Re: Units you'll never use

i find the bmp-3 to be effective enough to be worth the cost, the added cannon and autocannon make it very effective against light vehicles and especially sniping from forests/heavy cover with infantry for close in support. i find supporting heavy tanks with a few BMP-3s make for a devastating hit a...

Re: Damn the arty spammers

there's a lot of strategy to using artillery, and responding to it. keep in mind a heavy artillery player will have less points in the field, and will generate less points from captured command zones over time, it's key to exploit this by being mobile and aggressive AND having your OWN artillery to ...

Re: Some potential exploits under the current rules

heli's are incredibly vulnerable to some very low cost AA units, heli-rush is only really effective against TANK or ARTY rush.. and stupid people who clump all their forces in one little spot so that they get pwned by rockets...

Re: Should FOBs have a way to regenerate supply?

1. i think FOB should be replenishable by supply trucks (so it's more 2x expensive to do it later rather that at the start of the map) and the important thing here: 2. we need a feature that can return/recycle supply tracks off-map this takes care of the army of supply trucks rushing around doing no...

Re: Units you'll never use

bmp-3 is my fav unit as it's very effective against light/med armor and ground troops as well as AA, the downside is the light armor, but it's extremely mobile.

the unit i like the least is russian armored recon unit that only has 50 kmph speed that costs 30 =/ even my tanks are faster than it..
