Re: Pact units in loading sreens.

+1 to quotes, PACT units would be nice too.

But the best idea I've seen in this thread is the map preview. It'd probably be the toughest to work in, but it'd be great to have some actual useful information to stare at for those 10-20 seconds (depending on how many browser tabs I have open! :D)

Re: Any News/Updates on Campaign reform?

I think it's really interesting how many people are complaining about the AI in the campaigns - I started playing a little AI campaign, but a few hours later I started playing a campaign against a friend of mine. WAB's MP Campaign is the single best gaming experience I've ever had. Sure, there's roo...

Hooray! Really looking forward to that! Two player only, or possibly 3 or even 4?

Re: No Time Limit Total Destruction 10v10 Server?

Sure, it's completely insane and the game would probably last for hours and hours... (and a lot of players would eventually D/C). Yet, I feel like a lot of 10v10's end right when they're starting to get good. I'd like to see the occasional game go closer to the bitter, bitter end when all the high ...

Re: Servers down?

Eugen is probably pushing a patch or something. I don't think they're pushing a patch at 2:45 AM Eugen staff like to be at work early. They're very dedicated.~ +1 Seriously though, it's dumb to push patches on weekends - I don't think that's what this is. =) Here's hoping their sysops know about it...

Re: Cannot do anything without someone complaining about it

First off, if you're low-level and looking for friendly teammates, look out for me and thecaptain - we're more than willing to help teach you what to do, as long as you're willing to listen, and not start off by spamming CVs, a bizarre thing I've seen several lvl 1 players do. Honestly I don't even ...

Re: The Problem with the Game - The Victory Conditions

I love having a blob of helicopters come after me (I won't call it rushing, because it doesn't always happen at the begining), since those choppers are usually worth hundreds or maybe thousands of points, and SAMs do splash damage. :D Before the splash damage, they could be a real pain, but now 2-3 ...

Re: Underlying gameplay mechanics changes

1) Yes please! 2) The only problem I personally see is with chain-routing where you just can't get control of a unit, even to give it proper fall-back orders. It would be great to be able to designate safe fall-back positions where things can rout to, or something like that. A very tricky problem, t...

Re: Polish Infantry Redundancy

Agreed on the unit counts. I like to play themed decks, using troops from only one or two nations. I'm now desperately short on troops in my Czech/Pole decks, since the availability of Motostrelci & Zmech have effectively been halved.

Re: Figured out the reason behind the lack of Challys in use

Thinking about it some, putting the Challenger at the top of the Chieftan tree, and the AMX-32 at the top of the AMX-30 tree would both be very reasonable, since in both cases the "light" and "heavy" tanks have similar statlines and similar gameplay uses. Chieftans are, for their...
