Re: Applications of unit value exports

What would you want to do with it? What would you want to see done with it? I'm interested in hearing ideas, because exactly such a [set of] file[s] now exists: https://github.com/ResidentMario/wargame-data Make the howto a little more user friendly. You did a fine job explaining the individual ste...

Applications of unit value exports

Let's say that you had a set of simple CSV files containing the complete unit value history of every unit in the game. What would you want to do with it? What would you want to see done with it? I'm interested in hearing ideas, because exactly such a [set of] file[s] now exists: https://github.com/R...

Re: Wargame: Red Dragon Unit Database

...and I think that it would be really nice if you could use the display chops you've worked up over the course of this project to create a unit viewer for card history. The exports that I've generated go back all the way to the first release version of the game, so you have the entire balance histo...

CSV File of In-Game Units

Hello all, As previously mentioned I was interested in doing some simulations based on the game. That doesn't look to be possible, because we don't know enough about how stunning and suppression works to do it. But I have nevertheless managed to create a flat, albeit very complicated CSV file of the...

Re: Modding Questions Thread

Follow-up question. All of the units in the game have a Localization Hash with their UnitNameInMenu in their UniteAuSolDescriptor table instance. What table contains these hashes? I thought it was the unites.dic in the most recent ZZ_Win.dat, but experimentation has shown that to not be the case.

Re: Wargame Internal Mechanics Manual

Incredibly good ! Some remarks AcknowUnitType defines what the unit is suppose to do (or that's what I guess) Tanks have value 24, tube artillery is 32, SAM is 30. I don't know all the value, and I don't know how the games use this (maybe for filtering in the armory) I'll try to find all the number...

Re: Modding Questions Thread

Hello all, I've been working on using Power Crystal's XML Exporter tool to export and dataify Wargame: Red Dragon unit values for external consumption. I have a pretty solid grasp of all of the slippery internal mechanics of the game now, bar two: 1. When does a unit get stunned? StunDamagesToGetStu...
