Re: About the promised buffs to RD

All I can contribute is: When did Razzmann become a Pink Member? Sorry; I agree that RD needs buffs before other Red factions receive nerfs. You could argue the power creep, you could argue lots of people play DLC redfor, but to be honest, isn't that to be expected given that it costs money and it m...

Re: Now that SD shows how awful fuel has been, can we remove fuel?

I think fundamentally the concept of a fuel mechanic has merit, particularly with a "realism oriented" game like the Wargame series. However, I also think that the implementation of the mechanic in WG is also fundamentally flawed, primarily due to the size of the maps compared to the fuel ...

Re: US Changes: The Compiled and Proposed

What T-62 line needs is 4 HE. It had a pretty big HE round. That's perfectly fine, and would actually give the T-62 line a niche of being infantry support tanks that can also slap medium armor from time to time, instead of being a T-72 that sucks. At 4 HE, it'd have a purpose - infantry support on ...

Re: What is the reason for Finland's glass cannon tanks?

Chally 2 28 FAV? RPG-29 with 34 AP. Leopard 2A5 26 FAV? Fagot with 36 AP. Exceptions do not make for reasonable rules. Modern Chally 2's operate with ERA and an extra glacis plate on the area you're referring to, and if I remember correctly, the penetration injured (?) the driver and did not preven...

Re: USA and USSR the superpowers... or not?

Also, Sherman was a lovely tank, but totally outclassed. My recollection is that it's saving grace was its maneuverability and numbers, allowing it to take on the Panthers and Tigers by overwhelming them. Shermans had little issue with Panthers in Italy, mainly because the terrain forced rather clo...

Re: USA and USSR the superpowers... or not?

I always liked the suggestion that the US be two coalitions, of USAF+US Army (US Land Forces) and USN+USMC (US Amphibious Assault); then to get the full force might of the US, you'd have to make a coalition of the two US factions. Then you could have a fully fleshed out NAVY+USMC and a fully fleshed...

Re: Blue UI color scheme for Reds

...I prefer to have enemies colored red in games for clarity... This. It is also a little bit uncomfortable if one is playing both Blue and Redfor to have enemies marked once in red, and game later red marks your own units... The Soviets tended to actually use red for their own troop movements beca...

Re: MRLs should never have fast aim times.

This was why I thought that MLRS RoF are the lowest they've ever been in WG (EE had the Grad fire at 30rnd/min and the Smerch at 7r/m, at a time when the Smerch had 6 HE and the Malka 7HE). HE values in EE/ALB/RD are not comparable Extreme example: ALB Nighthawk had 28 HE, RD Nighthawk has 20 HE Co...

Re: MRLs should never have fast aim times.

+1 Having dealt with and used MLRS in panic response situations, this is not something they should excel at. Area denial and pre-attack suppression damage seems like the best use, and should help remove the panic button-like feeling, much akin to how planes currently feel. This was why I thought tha...

Re: Why remove Korean-URSS deck?

So what? Balancing is not a question of removing everything who look work well. I didn't see many people use it, and very few use it well. Do you, or do you not want the namesake of the game to be viable? Because if you don't care about the Red Dragons, Buffs to NK made the doom prophets of ...
