Re: Increasing player base in WG4

Actually the concept of unlocks, would be nice again. But, having it combined with a rank restriction; so you don't have " Seal Club the Noobs! " Games. Per Rank you get unlocks like in EE. It would mean some players might use their points to get the uber tier but leave themselves extremel...

Re: Heavy equipment logistic

.. absolutely different type of game Are you sure? Currently we have: RTS-real time strategy. RTT-real time tactics TBS-turn based strategy. TBT-turn based tactics 4X - Explore, Exploit, Expand, Exterminate [think worlds and galaxies to control] I wouldn't be surprised if in the future. We get some...

Re: Why superpoweres(USA and Soviet) so nerfed?

While everyone argues about the extremes between minors, P2W nations, and super powers. [And Coalitions added or deleted to fit the outcry of HATO/PACT tears [Sovkor]] The middle nations and outliers are still left with old kit, never buffed materials, etc. DDR is still crying out for some of its ol...

Re: Bringing the Frontline System to Wargame

Actually, might I add something. Look at WarThunders new World at War mode. Or Super Power II 3D world. Or Planetary Annilation. Probably that is the future of RTS, where control and planning play huge roles, as well as important localized battles. I was kind of bummed out that the multiplay campaig...

Re: Bringing the Frontline System to Wargame

Fade2Grey. I was reading this, and yes both SD Frontline concept has its ups and downs. Kind of Problematic. Can make rushing a problem. [Yay or Nay is still out.] Also can telegraph a basic direction of a strategy. But what if we get the best of two worlds? Break Zones down into smaller ones? So li...

Re: "light" riflemans ridiculosity

Sorry for the digression but isn't the Super Dragon's AP undermodelled? I also find it curious that no US infantry lugs around recoiless rifles ala PACT units. Snickers. Umm, check with the Scandis in their Norse Dragon coalition. Some one is bull in the china shop, with a RCL that makes the Gustav...

Re: Map: Strait to the Point (Why so popular?)

I do not try to comprehend the superior beings that inhabit 10v10 games on 1v1 maps; that way madness lies Or why I see Meme units like "Flying Motoschutzen" only on Mud Fight. Mudfight is the playground of Tactical games; although surprisingly no one uses no income settings. :shock...

Re: Thoughts on artillery mechanics and how to improve them

I always thought firing without Correction in RD was a little easier than previous games. So it made counter fire more punishing, and you would have to move right after firing So it made safe platforms like British As90 dwarf older pieces that could put more sustained fire with more units as they c...

Re: Thoughts on artillery mechanics and how to improve them

This thread of mine has morphed into so many different things. Almost like MILINT virus mutated it. Anything else on fire rates of Russian artillery? From what I have seen, Eugen will not allow Tulypan 240mm Mortar because [engine limitations.] So how do we adjust rates of fire. I mean Russia...

Re: The Art of Soviet Airborne [Reboot Edition]

There was also the ZPTU-4 AA. Refresh my memory on that one, I only remember a few of his zany "theories." "NATO helo rushers wig about strelas and iglas, but they never expect a zptu-4" That one does have some merit, ONLY IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A RECON HELO. The ZPTU-4 does have a...
