Re: Israel and ATGMs

Keep in mind the Pereh has an F&F capability so it's better to remain quiet before Eugen smites down the infidels with the true god-like powers of the guided missile MLRS.

Re: HVMS

The HVMS, while it did have HE shells IRL, will simply be too OP. Its high RoF allows it to slaughter anything short of 90-pts tanks. You can always throw a Mesaya'at around or a cheap tank to do the anti-infantry work.

Re: Israel and Artillery

At the moment at least, only the MAR-290 is a viable arty piece in the Israeli support deck. Occasionally MAR-240, but that's about it. And it doesn't scream OP. it's annoying when it hits its target, but overall a good balance against what RED countries can offer, especially their good cluster bomb...

Re: Suggestions for the next version of Wargame

What about an expanded singleplayer? Real battles from the cold war til modern day, or some fictional ones that were planned, and include more nations with them. For example Yom Kippur war, 1982 Lebanon war. Doesnt even have to be real plans. Just make up some interesting campaigns that include more...

There's no such thing as impervious armor.

He was joking.
I know it's hard to believe because he's German, but it occasionally happens.

Re: What if: Realistic Artillery Damage

If we were to implement artillery as it is IRL, you'd see many LAVs getting 1-shot killed from a distance. It's not fun getting half your shit wrecked in just a single barrage. Superheavies would be destroyed instantly upon top hit, and have multiple simultaneous failures upon near hits. On the othe...

Re: BMP-3 armor just a tad exaggerated?

BMP 1's armor used the latest (read: 70's) ESR-method surface hardened armor plate (brinell hardness 51). License built versions used slightly worse quality steel. Original requirement was protection from 20mm autocannon, which was found to be accurate. Front armor also with...

Re: BMP-3 armor just a tad exaggerated?

Not through the front at ground level they weren't, which is why those weren't uparmored. The design requirements for the BMP-1 included defeating 20mm fire from the frontal quadrant. I don't really know what else to say. Not really. The BMP-1 frontal armor was designed to protect against 23mm shel...

Re: BMP-3 armor just a tad exaggerated?

Depuy mentions it in his papers, talking about how the bushmaster was designed around defeating the BMP (which directly implies that it was in question with a smaller/weaker autocannon) and that it turns out the armor is superior to what they had thought after capturing several in Yom Kippur. Tanko...
