Re: Things I've seen

I never really had a problem with crashes before the last patch, since then I get a lot of random disconnects and access violation crashes. In the last two days I've had two desynced matches, where I was playing a completely different match from my opponents. The first one was a 3v3 in which one of ...

Re: Tank shooting down chopper with main gun

In real life, tank crews are trained to hit helicopters within 1.5 km or so. It's only really practical if the target isn't moving very fast and is heading directly (or nearly directly) away or towards the tank, but under those circumstances the helicopter pilot is in serious danger. https://www.yo...

Re: Almost never able to find a game?

Sounds like your version is out of date, I rarely have trouble finding a decent game. Open up steam, right click on wargame in your library list and click properties. Select the local files tab and then verify integrety of game cache.

Re: What are you reading?

I'm reading Bloody Heroes by Damien Lewis. Tells the story of the SBS in the early part of the Afghanistan conflict including the Qala-I-Jangi fort battle near Mazar-i-Sharif. The SBS soldiers recieved the congressional medal of honour from America for saving CIA officer Dave Dawson, and retrieving ...

Re: M1 Abrams: in-game uses and RL curiosities [VIDEOS]

I may be wrong, but doesnt the 120mm gun the chally and chief use have a more "deadly" round fired out of them which is a major reason behind the MoD keeping the 120mm rifled gun? Just thought i would ask here. Also, the UK may have less tanks, but isnt the new warrior 40mm upgrade/FRES a...

Re: Let's play CS (Counter Strategy)

Let me explain the rules of this little game. Someone presents you with a very precise description of a situation, and you must find the most efficient in both time and points to counter it. The person judged by other participating members to have the most efficient method must post a new situation...

Re: Overused units

Chinooks and such, i bring occasionally for quick arty replenishment (and shortly thereafter i tend to relocate my arty). That is their role to me. anything frontline is replenished by trucks. My biggest gripe with supply helis is the fact they cant resupply logistic trucks. I would use chinooks a ...

Re: Overused units

6) Mi-24As: They have a rubbish rocket pod, a rubbish ATGM and a rubbish HMG. If you're wanting to get it for access to rocket-stunning lights get an Mi-17 which has much better rockets. Very worth a deck slot IMO. I have the Mi-24 series in my deck for the P version. I'd rather have the Mi-17 as a...

Re: Real life military tactics!

hello all. very new to the game, and was wondering about if anyone uses tactics they have learnt from studying conflicts in the last 40 years. in Afghanistan, the British army have adopted an inkblot tactic. if you place an drop of ink on tissue (or regular )paper, it will spread out slowly, gettin...
