Infantry actually used to take 50% extra damage in woods in ALB As well illustrated in those scenes: PKSYN-tbNRs Smashed woods only multiply the number of splinters flying around. And were often the source of as many wounds as real shrapnels. Yes, but in wood, you can digg in and have better camo ;)
