D-M, actually it doesnt look at all strange.

You would use such systems for the mobile CPs, ie you move to the area you wish to defend and entrench that thing in there. A towed version may have been more sensible though.

Well, I bet that Armata would stay rather OP, at least until release.

As to the hull armour, depending on the depression and the usage of terrain you may not even need it.
