It kinda feels that they nailed it with this game mechanic. Maybe needs some fine fine-tuning.. but so far everything feels like a real choice.

Beta Release was a great idea. Happy users – that totally appreciate the effort of setting up the beta – playing it earlier.

Also the devs can have some extra sleep without being harassed too. That's also why AoA will be free of bugs and perfectly balanced from the get-go. :twisted:

The fog of war is actually behind another layer of fog of war so you can't see it. ;) Tbh, guess the developers never created it as it's somewhat computational expensive to create a good looking fog of war for such a high number of visbility inducing agents. Regarding symmetry in maps and competitive play: It doesn't really matter in ranked play because you are play both sides at random. The impact on your gamescore evens out after a few games. I oppose symmetrical maps and i also oppose strictly balanced maps. Unbalanced maps are not a really huge problem for ranked in general as you are going to play both sides and the asymmetrical layout allows for a far greater tactical depth. Nice news. It feels like the helo gameplay is near a sweet spot right now. But as alyways, some minor adjustments might make it even more enjoyable. There are quite a few things that i would like to see enhance ranked mode. Ranked Matchmodes Offer only one ranked mode. You can disable 2on2/1on1 from there, but in the default state you will get mixed into the next available gamemode. Alot of people - myself included - would love to play 2on2 rank...
