Re: What's happening behind the iron curtain?

If they only put their effort into improved production values and effects, Id still buy Wargame 4. Even by the standards of World in Conflict, a 10 year old game, Wargame falls short in nearly every way. Voice-overs only recently got any good, explosion effects, sound effects, terrain, particles......

Re: What's happening behind the iron curtain?

For what it's worth, my wishlist for a Wargame 4. Not necessarily any solutions, just things I hope to see changed/improved - Better matchmaking, even if just a return to the more obscure "levels" system used in EE. - Unhide deck names in lobby - Increased viability for the large number of...

ROUT!

I can only remember seeing a unit rout once while playing a normal RD game (it may have been a helo coming under enormous amounts of small arms fire). Recall that in EE it was quite common for units to lose their minds after being subjected to massive moral damage. Personally, while I understand the...

Not to mention those excellent Tactical Aid effects: fuel-air bomb anyone?

Re: The Next Big Thing for Wargame

Command infantry should be 2 or 3 man - currently they are too survivable and the "go-to" CV type: once in a city block they are real hard to spot and dig out. Perhaps they should be a little pricier. availability. Sure, but in your standard, say, 3v3 game, the vast majority of deployed C...

Re: The Next Big Thing for Wargame

I would really like to see the next wargame be limited to early cold war. Eugen probably won't do that though, since they would have to ditch the majority of their models. I second this. Maybe cap prototypes at 1980, or 1975. I want AT-3 Saggers in my Egyptian moto deck, and have it mean something....

Re: Red Dragon Infantry

To represent the giant PLA and KPAGF army size and to enforce stereotypes of mindless eastern hordes. All RD infantry should be large squads for no extra charge. That way they be flavorful and still bad. Maybe double the squad sizes! Or triple. It would be funny. Not necessarily endorsing this spec...

Re: Generate maps at the start of each match

Just want to throw my +1 into the hat here: procedurally generated maps, or some other method of limited randomization to force players to study/reconsider the terrain while formulating strategy. Tailoring decks to a specific map, knowing all the chokepoints and "must-win" points gets old ...
