Re: Strategic Layer

I remember playing a game that let you draw on the map so you could mark approaches and defensive lines, but I cannot remember what game it was at all. Not a bad function to add, honestly. I am pretty sure that total war games allow you to do that. I remember doing that in total war rome 2. They ha...

Re: About the promised buffs to RD

It'll be interesting to see what happens once Steel division goes to full release, its hard to see the DLC model working well for SD because it is a fairly tight and focussed game relative to Red Dragon. Personally i think the only way we'll see further patches for RD is if they do another nation D...

Re: Pre order open beta?

Last 5 Eugen games have had pre-order beta. But i can't remember any Paradox game ever having pre-order beta. Personally i think the pre-order beta is always bad idea that hurt the game and its player base/future. Why? - Because the game is unfinished, buggy etc. and will give bad impression to many...

Re: Matchmaking and competative gameplay

I Hope the Beta has An AutoMatch system to test... if it does it will get plenary of use I would say the beta should only have matchmaking system and not custom lobbies at all. This way player base start to see sd44 a game were main stuff is the mm matches and not custom matches. Then add custom ma...

Re: Will the dsync issues be fixed for the steel division????

Haven't heard of any desync problems regarding the Wargames in quite a long time. The last time was with one of the map packs iirc, but that got fixed fairly quickly. So how come you say "those were never fixed"? I think only AoA has major desync problems at this point. Because i got desy...

Re: Matchmaking and competative gameplay

Please make the match making the first thing player see when they open multiplayer menu. BIG, and easy to notice ranked search. And hide the custom matches somewhere on side behind separated menu. Having both (ranked and non ranked custom matches) isn't enough you need to make so people get used to ...

Will the dsync issues be fixed for the steel division????

As most probably know past 5 games released by Eugen systems and using same game engine that steel division will use had some major dsync issues. Ruse, wargame european escalation, wargame airland battle, wargame red dragon and Act of aggression all had same dsyncing issues and those were never fixe...

Re: Modding

Aren't they using same engine for this game than they used for wargame? Then i would say we get what we had with wargame. Map editor is probably unlikely as we didn't have that with wargame. I remember some discussion long time ago that they can't share the tools they use to create maps for wargame ...

Re: Finnish Spike missile out of time frame.

Like anyone ever cared about the time frame? They have idea what kind of faction they want, they think what kind of units they want for it, then they search for units/weapons/weapon systems that fit those roles, if "realistic" stats are not totally OP or under powered follow them. Time fra...
