Re: NATO Armored

West German armored is best armored. The Kpz 70 is an absolute beast for 85 points. Just go look at the stats and compare it to 80-120 point tanks of any other nation. It's the best counter I've found for T-55/T-62 rushes that Pact loves spamming with pre-75 decks. Example: http://i.imgur.com/4jLYyI...

Re: Regarding the Challengers L11A5 Gun

The L11A5 is 55 calibres long instead of the 44 on Leopard 2 and M1A1 so it would have had a higher muzzle velocity providing better penetration. Wrong. The L44 has 1,580 to 1,750 m/s muzzle velocity depending on ammunition. The L11A5? 1,370 m/s maximum. Smoothbore tank guns have higher velocity th...

Re: Tracked Rapier, this is how you fix it.

I don't really care either way how the Rapier is balanced (I don't play Brit decks), but would an additional SPAAG with a Marksman turret be so far out of line? http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b24/hybenamon/LAND/ANTI-AIR/MARKSMAN/PHOTOS4.jpg Pic is a Marksman turret mounted on a Centurion, essenti...

Re: Ka-50 should have it's armor and Mi-17 shouldn't?

At least I have a logic. Todays materials can't provide such protection. Ok, maybe in laboratories they can, but not on mass product heli in 1981. Su-25 is a 9 and half tonnes of titan, aluminum and magnesium alloys, classic steel is only 19% of planers mass. And still it's not enough to protect al...

Re: Units moving without orders?

Yeah, I just played a game where I was steamrolling like 3 guys in a 10v10 with a bunch of Leopards, getting like 6000 points in the first few minutes, then I rolled into their spawn where a few dozen tanks and such were sitting that obviously hadn't moved since the start of the match, and realized ...

Re: 'Splodin supply trucks

snip I'm not saying it makes sense from a "total realism 100% accurate to real world physics" standpoint, just that ammunition and fuel do explode. Granted, ammunition cook offs and fuel explosions look totally different in reality, but it's close enough; consider that aircraft don't alwa...

Re: Ka-50 should have it's armor and Mi-17 shouldn't?

Funny, considering that's something which is backed up in available documentation for the AH-64, and is a claim that is shared by contemporary choppers like the Mi-24, 28, Ka-50, Eurocopter Tiger, etc. Are they all lying? Everyone knows that any helicopter regardless of make or model is vulnerable ...

Re: 'Splodin supply trucks

Yeah that's actually really cool. Don't change it, the things are apparently full of munitions and fuel so it makes sense. I can't wait for someone to lose a T-80 by riflemen popping a supply truck that's parked behind it so we can hear that unfortunate guy scream "SUPPLY TRUCK OP".

Re: Ka-50 should have it's armor and Mi-17 shouldn't?

You ignorant person, where I told about Mi-28 or Ka-50? I said - AH-64A can be killed by 7.62 IR but not in game, that must be fixed. You must not have any idea what thread you're posting in. Apparently it makes total sense to barge into a Ka-50/Mi-17 armor thread saying "nerf AH-64", whi...
