Re: Spetsnaz OHK'ing squads.. Wrecking the inf meta.

I play both PACT and NATO, and as either side, have found Spetsnaz and Li Jians to be overpowered. In fact, were it up to me, I would completely remove RPO type weapons and infantry-flamethrowers from the game completely. Instakilling and instastunning infantry teams with high alpha damage is a shit...

Re: Doktor (and Brutoni) visit IFV Armour

The armor values are mostly fine. The real issues are the AP values and accuracy of the cannons, RPG's and ATGM's, which are all grossly inflated. There shouldn't be any RPG system in the game that extends past 525m, and they shouldn't have 50%+ accuracy. 15-30% at best, with AP values that would al...

Re: Its time to address the Elephant in the room: France

Looks like he is estimating ~30mm RHAe = 1 point of armor, whereas mine is 50mm = 1 AV

Re: Its time to address the Elephant in the room: France

BTR's values are in general higher than the ones used in game, the Leclercs armour would be the same as the Challenger 1 mk.1, and 2 below the mk.3 and M1A1HA. At present it's the same as the latter two. Probably uses a different source on armor values than I did. Can you link me to his posts regar...

Re: Its time to address the Elephant in the room: France

1) Leclerc, it's inexplicably cheaper than the other super heavies and is over armoured Over armoured ? Actually, I looked at the armor for various units and the Leclerc is only just slightly overarmoured. If it fit in approximately with other tanks, going by its actual IRL RHAe values, it'd have a...

Re: Its time to address the Elephant in the room: France

In regards to France being OP - yes, it is. Eurocorps is widely considered OP, but the things Germany contributes to Eurocorps are pretty small, and really only serve to fill in a few minor holes in the French army. Which means the OPness is really being derived from France, and it's not hard to see...

Re: Its time to address the Elephant in the room: France

Ive heard that the model unveiled to the public in 1994 was a mockup. From the research I've done, it wasn't a mockup, but it didn't work very well, either. It suffered some extremely serious design issues, and Giat had to shelve the project for 2 years to deal with financial issues or something. A...

Re: USSR Revision in helicopter thread

Mi-28 I doubt we'll get a thermobaric missile, as awesome as that would be; it's effectively a missile that can target everything on the ground. That sounds troublesome to implement but feel free to correct me. There's a plane already in the game that fires an HE missile in exactly the same way as ...

Can we please get proper implementation of Artillery in DLC?

Artillery accuracy is determined by what is called Circular Error Probability (CEP). It works like this: 50% of the artillery shells hit within n meters (This is the CEP) ~40-45% of artillery shells hit between n and 2n meters ~5-10% of artillery shells hit between 2n and 3n meters Most unguided art...

Both do it. My first encounter was with the British version.
