Re: Rookie Night - May 27th
I think I'll join in! I'm just getting back in after a long hiatus and my skills are rusty as heck!

Re: Major balance issues that will be fixed... or won't?
What you are talking about are generally major overhauls of a certain class of unit that will dramatically effect the balance of almost every aspect of the metagame. Such changes are not to be taken lightly and, if being considered (which I expect they are, considering the amount of discussion on th...

Re: Open more tanks to mechanised
Using 1985 units in 1986-1991 decks is really not fine in my books, both authenticity and gameplay wise especially when the tanks of the era are doing AP19/18 tops, those are absolutely pathetic in the face of 22AP MBTs with level 20+ armour. To balance that out, at least in US and Russian mechaniz...

Re: Open more tanks to mechanised
I'll heartily agree with you pertaining to the UK, as I feel like they could do with a card of Challengers that could actually keep up with everything else. Also, maybe the USSR could do with another tier of T-80 to give them a gun tank comparable with the M1A1. I think, though, otherwise, mechanize...

Re: Ugly Craters
He's talking about the crater graphics from large explosions that appear to be below the ground, below some transparent plane. I agree, this has been bugging me for a long time. It was brought to light in beta and not fixed.

Ooh ooh! I could see usefulness in a loong line of napalm, effectively cutting off an area of the landscape.

Re: Why I play Wargame
Pact armored assaults rely heavily on attack-move, because of the stab issue, and I generally include an Uragan or a couple Grads to stun and panic the objective before moving in, so the slower speed which Pact armored assaults generally conduct themselves at can be compensated for. The Americans ha...

Re: Fighting Like a Man - With Tanks and IFVs
I'd like to point out that if you are fighting with an ally, one of you using a mechanized deck and the other an armored deck can pull off these maneuvers very handily, if you coordinate well.

Re: Why I play Wargame
Someone I met randomly today rolled with a US Armored deck, and I with a US Mechanized. He communicated exceptionally well, and we were able to pull off some great stuff, with the strengths of each deck complementing each other very nicely. not enough cheap high armor tanks. You don't need cheap tan...
