Re: helicopter-killer aircraft for Pact and NATO

You're wrong. The guns in game fire the same number of shells per burst, something like 5-6. ROF is just how many points of ammunition are used up per burst. In this respect, Soviet guns would actually have a buff over NATO guns. They have more staying power. The cyclic ROF of guns in game is the s...

Re: helicopter-killer aircraft for Pact and NATO

Isn't ROF is just a measure of how many rounds are eaten up per burst, and since all guns fire the same amount of rounds per burst, Soviet guns have more ammo? Isn't this a buff? This is not really on topic but what the heck. ROF/rate of fire tells you how many bullets come out of the gun in a fixe...

Re: helicopter-killer aircraft for Pact and NATO

It's ludicrous because by the time the jet finds the little speck hiding behind the trees the heli would have enough time to empty his entire ammo supply already.

Re: helicopter-killer aircraft for Pact and NATO

No, J-CATCH shows helicopters had a distinct advantage over fights in low-altitude close range engagements. The program was looking at close-enough-to-use-guns scenarios, and never looked at all at long-range engagements. Because, you know, they overwhelmingly favor fixed-wing aircraft. Did you rea...

Re: helicopter-killer aircraft for Pact and NATO

Of course it's possible to down a helicopter with AMRAAM. Just like it's possible to down a helicopter by sniping the pilot with a sniper rifle. The question is how probable that's going to happen. J-CATCH proved that helicopters hold a distinct advantage over fighter jets and are very capable of do...

Re: helicopter-killer aircraft for Pact and NATO

IRL no fighter pilots in their right mind would try to engage helicopters, especially when jets fly at the laughable altitudes portrayed in game right now. It's pretty much suicide . If you want a better anti-helo mechanism in game I say buff ground-based anti-helo capability (especially manpads) in...

Re: Supply system need to reform!

OP smart! You all can shat up! Maybe provide commander full zombie automation? Like a button goes -> all units right click on other end of map -> zombie berserk attacks. Like horny xenomorphs running free on colony, or flies going for doggy poop? Why control when you can have no control? Me thinks b...

Re: Why conquest fails

Yeah because to win in conquest all you need to do is a rush with cheap units. If it's so simple why don't you do it? Quit throwing your baby whining about. Conquest have issues, but "I have no friends" or "I can't figure out how to host a 1v1 game by myself" are not among them. ...

Re: Why conquest fails

Yes, you can win a team game of destruction by yourself if you're good enough. By this follows that there needs to be no limits of your suckitude for you to win a destruction game as long as there is someone good enough on your team. This doesn't work in conquest. The scoreboard will tell you if yo...
