Re: Conquest - Two Changes to Make It Worthy of this Game
The solution is simple: increase the point limit drastically AND change the accumulation of points from being the difference between the two teams to being based on the value of the sectors actually held. It's simple common sense. I disagree. If victory point is based on straight deployment point i...

Re: Thumbs up.
Yeah I have to give it to Eugen. The game has flaws but Eugen certainly has the desire to make it better, all for the low low price of free
. The love they have for their game really shows.

Just like economy, the players who are under the most pressure to advance are the players least able to do so.
True, but at least trying to advance doesn't directly lead to said player shooting himself in the foot in the process

Re: Conquest Mode Review
Can't say I'm surprised to hear this. We called it out like half a month ago . Ways to fix it: 1. Lower income for the middle zones that will be contested during the initial rush. Increase income for the starting zones. 2. Bigger maps to allow more possibilities of flanking maneuver/ambush. This wil...

Re: What is wrong with Wargame?
Why am I considering uninstalling? Not because its "too realistic" - its not! Look at all the work that goes into "balancing" - whatever tf that means! Who needs balancing when you have the truth? That's the attitude of the true Grognard which I happily confess I am. This. For a...

Re: Conquest - what the rules of this gamemode?
Well, having low center location points will certainly help. I agree that snowballing is inevitable and you can't save someone from failing if he just right clicks the other end of the map from the get go, but some of the maps we have right now are just ridiculous. What I don't want to see is some r...

Re: Conquest - what the rules of this gamemode?
The point is the team that got pushed back in the first skirmish must have some way of coming back. I don't see why this must be so. Both teams have a theoretically equal chance at winning the initial rush, so why should the loser of that phase be handed a competitive advantage through the reinforc...

Re: Why do we need the point goal to decrease in Economy?
My guess is simply to put a time pressure on the game and to more or less insure that one team can force it to a close in a reasonable amount of time. I'm not saying that that is necessarily a compelling reason, but I imagine it's something along those lines. Yeah I thought about that. But then aga...

Re: Why do we need the point goal to decrease in Economy?
If that is what it was intended to solve then it fails horribly at solving that problem; one only needs to click a few more times to call in a few more units. Hmm, I'm not sure what you mean but let's say it doesn't solve the problem, what does it solve exactly? I'd really like to hear a pro...
