Deck Builder - What is the difference between battlegroups and division decks?

Is it just that one is a list of available divisions to build a custom battlegroup from?
Should a battlegroup be formed from parts of different divisions with attached air etc?

Re: Auto-generated Tactical and Strategic Maps

Well I like auto-generated and random. Both should provide a fairer skirmish experience. I still noticed in SD44 that people set up honey pots where they ambushed people with the perfect map and deck for that map. At least SD44 had a random option, but still not enough maps. When people got sick of ...

Re: My Initial impressions

P.s. can I ask if the new objectives that are captured now mean that units no longer push the line around. That the objectives determine the line? For example surrounding a unit would now need the correct objectives to be captured rather than the units simply surrounding them to cut them off. This w...

My Initial impressions

Enjoyed the game immensely. But have to ask if their will be an extension to the BETA due to the time lost out of the gate. I noticed a few things especially language (e.g. modificators) and some strange art - end of battle screen is black and white as is the writing making it almost impossible to r...

Re: Auto-generated Tactical and Strategic Maps

Hello, I am really interested in Steel Division 2. As an old RTS gamer, I feel like most new RTS games are missing a good aspect of the old ones Auto-generated map, they we awesome, it helped a lot on replayability by giving you a new experience every time you play making you a fan of the game of a...

Re: ZOOM CONTROL??

Find the scroll function on your laptop mousepad. You really need a real mouse though with a scroll wheel.

I shall test more when I get home
It’s not only accuracy but armour pen that I want to look at at these ranges

Re: Engagement ranges are huge

Are you referring to tank ranges? I was actually wondering about tanks chances to hit above 800m in ww2. I mean accurately. This was after I saw a tiger take a snap shot and get a first time hit in one of their videos. I also remember a men of war 2 mod a mate used to make me play with him where ran...

Re: Frontline issues

In SD2, the whole of the RECON category do not affect the frontline: Puma, T-70, Greyhound, Valentine, recon Panzer IV, T-34/76 or even Panther, ... are as many units you can sneak ahead in enemy territory without the frontline to move a bit. Yup kinda like in SD44, however I think that many times ...

Re: Auto-generated Tactical and Strategic Maps

The replayability of all Eugen games was a problem because the maps were never moddable or ever numerous enough. Look at games like COH 1 and 2 and Men of War to compare. The community does not die off as fast. I think primarily because the game moddable and therefore brings new players because the ...
