Re: Expansion Pack Idea: The Orient at War

Eugen is very Cold War dedicated, I think that any expansion will likely be in this time frame, or perhaps slightly earlier. I think Mad Mat has said they won't do anything modern, though I don't have any source. By not doing modern they get to avoid the inevitable "OMG this is so wrong."...

Re: Snow maps

to be honest a winter map would look really boring: everything is white it would only become interestiing if wargame modeled weather effects (maybe next game?) Disagree. Well, technically agree that all white is boring, but that wouldn't be the effect. Snow has the effect of causing heavy shadows a...

Re: BTR70 and 80

Machine guns Abrams are located on the roof and are separate weapons. So it shouldn't be a problem to make up a roof machinegun for the BTR-80? I'm no coder, so maybe that's why I don't get the problem. :) As mentioned, no MG on roof, but more importantly, the roof MG can not only fire seperately b...

Re: Don't mind me, I'm just passing through ...

if the game balance was perfect, there would be no "must have" :p I was asking more about it in the scope of national decks rather than Mixed ones. I think this is sufficiently vague: - Minors are the star of the show here - There will be prototypes - One side has a lot more prototypes th...

Re: Wargame Glossary - Useful for newbies!

In case HaryPL's answer didn't explain enough. What is ERA mean? ERA is essentially appliqué explosive boxes added on the outside of a vehicle. They are intended to deflect, disrupt or downright break up the penetrating jet projected by enemy HEAT warheads. They range in sizes from small cigarboxes ...

Re: Can we have Flamethrower Arcs back.

Seems quite silly, true. But isn't that more down to the absolutely horribly long range for the flamethrowers? I mean come on... And their rather ample supply of ammo/fuel. Just noticed the other day that some flametanks carry over 2000 units of ammo and expend that in what appears to be 1-2 units p...

Re: BTR70 and 80

I think 20 people wrote it before, but: Price steps are too big, the different steps are not always worth 5 points. Result is that BTR-60 is far too cheap(with its stats it should be a 10(maybe 8 or 9 compared to Fuchs) points unit and 5 points in this price area are really much) and BTR-80 is too ...
