Re: The incoming release

I want to have at least a statement about these problems from Eugen because in the last updates there were almost none of these problems mentioned and the release is tommorrow. Unless there is a misunderstanding between Focus and Eugen, it would appear as though Eugen is plowing on towards release ...

Re: Reflecting on concerns - deck philosophy and naval compo

The problem is that players now have all naval choices and all ground choices available and just have to use MP to spend in either area, having total freedom of what units they pick. Indeed, this completely undermines the principles of specialisation and delegated responsibility within a team of pl...

Re: MUST GO NAVY

I raised this issue prior to the closed beta, and raised it again recently . In the latter thread, I stated that "excepting those who select the explicit naval specialisation which grants additional naval slots, the naval contingents of most players is constant in size. This forces players into...

Re: Absurd amount of Naval units for such a small space

It's hardly surprising that, with there being no trade-off when selecting units in the naval category, players are easily able to field capable naval forces. How about differentiating activation point costs for different classes? Can it be done? Ie: 10 river boats would cost 2, 10 large ships would...

Re: Absurd amount of Naval units for such a small space

It's hardly surprising that, with there being no trade-off when selecting units in the naval category, players are easily able to field capable naval forces. The only way in which this can be rectified is to make it such that the naval category is constrained by the same activation point limit that ...

Re: Please add a float animation and engine sound to boats!

I am pretty sure there's going to be sound, just like voice acting for the new countries. I mean, the game is coming out tomorrow right (or end of next week from other source). We'll find out soon enough. The 17th of April release date has not, to my knowledge, been substantiated by Eugen. More to ...

Re: Separate Naval tab into two?

Of course, units deployed via landing craft should not be in the naval category in the first place.

Reflecting on concerns - deck philosophy and naval component

Prior to the launch of the Red Dragon closed beta, and following the release of details concerning the naval component's integration into the deck system, I penned a thread in which I outlined my concerns over the manner in which Eugen were approaching the naval component's deck integration. In part...

Re: Please add a float animation and engine sound to boats!

For the smaller riverine vessels engine sounds would probably be appropriate, but the same is not the case for the larger vessels. In larger vessels, the engine room is usually located deep within the walls of the ship, preventing much sound from reaching the outside world. The engine sound of large...

Re: On ships ...

Naval battles shall be added to the beta ... soon. You....You mean navy isn't cancelled? Nobody ever said it was. And really, 90% of the people complaining here haven´t even played the CBT, and Eugen promissed a huge overwork after that, why can´t you just wait a few days and actually compla...
