Yeah but then they have to hold middle ie defending ;p

Depends if you need to hold the middle or just take it to win ;)

Re: rewarding attacking side

Most RUSE maps reward attacking play for the first 15-20 minutes IMO. After that point it just becomes exponential admin growth as sgnl05 said. I really am a fan of time-limited RUSE games as it forces the team with fewer points to attack. In 1v1 and 2v2 games with default time limits this brings th...

I've never really understood how No Unit works. Surely without any units it's pretty challenging...

Re: Absolute MUST HAVE features for the "In-Game Lobby"

I think the main thing that held back the RUSE lobby system was the fact that it was designed (I assume) to be fairly cross platform. Console menu interfaces always require a lot of sub-menus and big buttons.

Re: The beta is now...

Looking forward to seeing the beta. I must admit I haven't been following progress very much as I tend to only pay attention when I can actually do stuff. There were some good changes after the RUSE open beta so I'm glad this is happening.

Re: Some new info about the game

The two things I think should be done are: ⋅  When playing ranked or automatch (meaning when playing against random players), same skilled players should be chosen Yes. RUSE has an Elo system (which is broken), but matches on automatch level (I think). Matching on Elo (a WORKING Elo) woul...

Re: Wargame: European Escalation creates a grand visual show

Another good example of wasted effort - the other day I was playing Handshake over the Elbe and noticed a massive, highly detailed V2 rocket installation. I was playing with 5 other very experienced players, and none of us had even noticed it before! It's a map straight from the campagin. In one or...

Re: How does the game work

Controllable aircraft wouldn't work very well IMO. The standard fighter/fighter bomber/recon would travel around three times faster than the fastest fighter in RUSE... and would have fighter-bomber capabilites. It's the sort of thing that's probably very easy for them to prototype as the engine prob...

Re: Beta testing

Hi Vince! We've spoken before on the BB forums. Nice to see you over here. Open beta sounds good and bad. I think I quite like RUSEs double-beta with a closed beta to sort out major niggles before the public saw them. The problem with showing the public the beta is if there are any glaring balance i...
